Brennus Of Britain would mean you can acces everyone with WB and open trade routes for GLH (which is somewhat challenging with awful starting techs).

Deity isolation is very luck dependant of AI lovefests you cannot join and interfere. I'd probably go GLH and would also try to found Confu or Taoism for Pacifism and hope for the best.

I've been playing immortal games only after I've beaten couple of deity games and only some shadows here. Immortal can be skipped.

I just don't get why don't you think you are deity player. You know this game better than most. If you think only Duckweed, Rusten & Co. are deity players, then I'll join you.

Yes, I am still here, but only to read. Haven't played in a while now. I have been following various teams exploits in the SGOTM.
I'm not sure when I will start playing again. Last time I tried, I was too depressed at how bad I played. Maybe one day, I'll re-emerge from retirement.

As for Karadoc... I give him credit for actually putting his money where his mouth is (so to speak,) but also because I haven't seen him slag off the original programmers. Worst he's said is "this could be done better, here's how I'd do it" - which is far different from saying "those guys were terrible."

And you have to realize that he's making adjustments to a (mostly) finished product, based on *years* of hindsight and personal preference and doing so from his own budget. Which is a far different prospect than designing from scratch, for general appeal and on someone else's dime.

Thx again for your invitation to HoF Community. I will add that Forums to my active ones and post in it, though I think, most I can do is provide the Community with own challenges with Marathon Settings, as I'm still quite a Noob and wouldn't have any chance at Epic or even Normal Settings on Deity, worse if I had to play another Leader than HC.
