If you played it, that means its activated on steam. If you bought a boxed copy, you might have bought it from a retailer stupid enough to accept a return on a completely useless item.

I can't seem to get Civ5 to run smoothly at all with directx 10/11. It runs perfectly in DX9. Here are my computer's specs. Intel core2 quad 2.66 GHz 4 gigs ram GeForce GTX 260 I don't get what is going on. My PC should be able to run this fine.

I was in the Classical age when a city state asked me to destroy another city state I hadn't encountered yet, that existed on another continent, when I still only had triremes. A map might have been useful for that one.

Well over 50 percent of the people commenting on this site before the game came out was negative anyway. That's just the nature of this community, everyone here is a raging fanboy. Civfanatics is the new "No Mutants Allowed".

I think they're melee strength is added to the city defense value. So archers will not add much to the defense of the city, but can still do ranged attacks, which is certainly useful.

Add everything written here with the fact that the Australian government will straight up ban games unless they are approved by some government appointed board and I will reiterate my point: It must suck to be an Australian gamer.
