As a Floridian, I am a tiny bit annoyed that someone thinks that "Tampa Bay" is a city. I'll just have to remember to correct that each time I found my 32nd city as the US.
Out of curiosity, I checked Google's suggestions for other video games with the phrase "<game> is".
Almost every game I checked had "boring" as either the top suggestion or in the list.
However, this does not discredit the OP, Civ V definitely wins with the sheer number of funny suggestions.
I like hexes, ranged combat, and especially one unit per tile. Also, the coming patch looks very promising.
Edit: and City-States. Can't believe I forgot those.
I think the idea is that the defender should be able to make us of a strategic advantage rather than depend on a solitary unit. The open terrain penalty would apply primarily if a unit was ambushed or if they attacked, moved into the open terrain after winning, then was attacked by a third unit.
There really are two camps. Some people are happy with the game and anticipate future patches while others are plotting to burn 2K and Firaxis to the ground.
