    Thank You, from Firaxis!

Thanks guys for creating such a great line of games. I was so very excited for the game Civilization when I saw it advertised as an upcoming title in a gaming magazine. I pestered the poor game store with weekly calls in 1991 asking about a release date and once I had that info I called every...

[RR] Is Railroads better than Railroad Tycoon II?

RRII is scenario based which disqualifies it for me to even be discussed in the same breath as the great RR 1. I enjoyed SMR as a multiplayer game that wasn't too long. Not as fun single player.

New Open Dev out now! :D

Probably although I would hope for one more so we can provide feedback on random map generation as a final piece of feedback from the players.

[NFP] What should be the focus of future updates?

I voted other. Whatever they want! I like the studio.

    [NFP] Is Civ 6 doomed?

LOL, doomed? OK, kind of like me thinking EU IV can't be salvaged. Play what you like, ignore what you don't I guess is my philosophy.

    Sid's Memoir

    Sid's Memoir

Not sure where to post this so a mod can move it. I'm in chapter 4 and I feel like I was transported back when I was in my 20's. F15, George of the Jungle and Railroad Tycoon. I played Railroad Tycoon for 19 straight hours after I installed it. I could not stop playing Civ 1 which seemed like...

    [NFP] AIs become more clever

Probably the TI-99, it was pretty popular and cheap as it was being discontinued. I had no money back then....

    [NFP] AIs become more clever

Yea, I started computer gaming with a Texas Instruments TI-99 in like 1983. Commie 64 was it until about 1987-89. Not sure when I switched to the 8088 architecture. Fun stuff. Civ I was the most mind blowing game this side of Geopolitique 1990.

I did indeed! Looking forward to playing tonight myself.

    The OpenDev/Preview Thread

@tedhebert - might not want to advertise on a public forum that you got around their scenario release. If it was intended I would think they'd have simply unlocked them all.

    The OpenDev/Preview Thread

Signed up a bit late but luckily got in. Plan on popping a few Pale Ales and running through the first two scenarios tonight then providing feedback. Thanks for allowing me to participate Amplitude. I don't have the same hours as Civ but bought almost all your games. Looks like I can run this at...
