game plan would be rapid early expansion. In the middle game i will try to maximize gold per turn to about 500.
Will play a good bit with naval and air force in the second...
Interested to play humankind. And preordered on day one. But knowing how life cycles develop for pc strategy games. I don’t expect humankind to replace civ 6 for me personally in its first 2 years. Civ 6 is very playable, fun and near complete. For what i expect from a civilization game. Even...
wow. This is quite a buff. It makes it easier to reach new wonders as well. You do need to beeline for wonders a bit on a new era. and grab the easy eureka/inspirations first before the free boost.
lets wait for the full patch notes tomorrow before drawing conclusions. With such a big balance overhaul for leaders and military units. I doubt firaxis will not listen to fan feedback and buff or nerf some stuff accordingly in coming months. even do april should be the last update. I doubt work...
Thanx for updating me during the last 10 pages civfanatics on the april stream. I guess there will be a couple of hotfixes and small surprises ahead of us still. But the next 3-4 years would most likely result in a big silence period again from firaxis. Waiting for a civilization 7...
I would like to see the gradual increase of city defenses to be lowered. Coupled with getting rid of the invincible ranged unit that can shoot without taking damage on defence. Defending should be more about placing down some units. Both offensively and defensively. Not about one unconquerable...
I will just treat civ 6 as a new game after all the changes and play whatever civ i like to play. Altered leaders i love will be sweet to play. I have always picked a couple of achievement along the way. But i don’t think i will be bothered for the next 200 hours or so to focus on getting new ones.
Since the patch notes are 3000 words long. I am still hoping for a few surprises. But so far i have not been disappointed.
The new huge earth map could be entertaining together with seeing how improved naval combat plays out.
hoping not half of it is minor tweaks that simply change a minor...
What is the civfanatics consensus regarding the aircraft updates from the last patch? Are they noticible. I am currently still halfway my game as Japan and just entered renessaince since the last patch.
I hope so. But knowing the developer. I think the balance will take at least one year to get right.
Don’t think civ 6 will stand still for next full year. More patches are coming and i am still hoping the modding community will put in a combined effort to improve things once civ 6 development...
I love this year long dedication to civ 6. I do not regret my purchase at all.
Balance changes are always nice to see. Hopefully i get inspired to pick up some older civilizations for another run.
I do think quite a few changes might be minor. Like a bias tweek or give x unique unit 40...
I remember it was pretty much the same on civ 4. On civ 6 it could take a damn long time before some stuff got repaired as well. Like farms. Like hundreds of game years. I’ll guess we just have to forgive firaxis because there is no better game currently in its genre.
Always the focus lies...
Please start a seperate aircraft discussion tread about the impact of this patch. When you guys get some experience playing with the januari patch. I am quite excited to hear more about this. But wont be playing civ 6 for at least a couple of days.
together with the new game mode. This patch...
