Ok, put the file in the Mods folder in the Steam version of BTS. I can select it as Mod to play in game via Advanced....it runs the HITM files but then I don't see the additional Civs as selectable in Custom play.
What did I do wrong?
What folder from the Steam version of Civ IV do I put the files from the download into? Or is it not possible to have this Mod work with Steam version of Civ 4??
Maybe I have a setting wrong but I'm starting with a ton of techs already discovered....fishing, agriculture...a whole bunch. Is that right or is there a way to start with one or two base techs that are related to my Civ? Feel like I'm jumping way ahead otherwise.
What folder do I put a graphic mod pack in if I'm running another mod pack...like History In The Making?
Moved to the general Creation & Customisation forum, as this is a general technical question. The Graphics Modpacks forum is more for discussing created game art and graphics modpacks. --...
If I buy the steam version can I add in History In The Making mod? Is Steam version moddable at all? I'm afraid that the folders needed to load the mods won't be there.
My disks seem to have disappeared and need to load on a new windows 10 laptop, works on my current windows PC
To force myself to finish games...I made a rule that if I want to quit one before the end I have to click the Retire button. That way it logs it on my ranking table and I have to look at all those loses. Makes me fight it out until the bitter end!
Same issue as Lymond, I have to conciously slow down...click...wait while I watch the icons move around...wait a little more just in case....then start assigning the GG points to my Scout.
This is one of those scenarios where if I goof I will reload.
I like History in the Making. It doesn't throw a ton of new buildings and units that the AI has no idea how to use properly and it doesn't create a ton of new techs either. I really like that it hides some resoucres until you discover the correct tech too.
Been playing it for years now and...
Does one normally settle in place? I've thought about trying this, but human player stuck at a single city and the ai expanding all over doesn't seem feasible to win.
I guess you definately are not going for a military victory?
I'm thinking those who don't like random events would never play with random personalities on because they can't predict AI behavior and they like to play Earth maps because they know where everything is and that another continent is across the ocean.
How much fun can that be????
