People seem to have forgotten how bad the AI were for forward settling before loyalty was introduced.
I was getting very frustrated at how the AI nations' cities were just a jumbled up mess.
Loyalty solved that problem at a stroke.
As posted on FB...
This wouldn't be so unusual except before this flashed up, I just had time to see that Victoria and Gilgamesh had declared a joint war on me.
I wonder what would have happened if I had accepted her demand?
Joking aside, is this a known glitch?
You see, I put all my trade routes in one city and try and get Great Zimbabwe there. It becomes an absolute magnet for spies trying to siphon funds.
One spy on the commercial hub, and if I'm doing really well one in an adjacent district as a back up and killing enemy spies is like shooting...
Ok so another example. Just played a (king) game and was not doing well, being roundly beaten on culture by Pericles.
Was trying to sneak a science victory but it was getting hard to sabotage all the AI players' space programmes, particularly Greece.
However... I held back on rock bands until...
Many, if not most, of my recent games have been decided by rock bands.
I have come from a losing position to winning purely down to them. Equally I have been prevented from what looked like a cakewalk CV by an AI player spamming them.
I've also had 20k plus tourism from a select few bands.
That's what's the oddest thing here.
Clearly rifles require oil.
Bazookas and those little machine pistols AT crews use to defend do not.
Yup, makes sense...
Here we go, here's what I mean about the AI refusing to negotiate.
I offer one luxury for two of his, he readily agrees
I ask for ten GPT, he refuses.
I click "make this more equitable" and he flatly refuses, as opposed to just taking the gold off the table.
...and the only option is...
No I haven't made myself clear - I'll use this screenie I have of Mansa Musa to illustrate.
I have silver, I offer it to Mansa Musa in return for amber and wine, he agrees, so I cheekily add 100 gpt, he refuses and I click the "make this more equitable" button, and this is what used to happen...
