    Too into this game

Today, someone said "Angel", and the first thing that popped into my head was not the pearly, flying celestial being, but rather the massive hyperrobotic supremacist doom walker from Civ:BE. I need to take a break.

    Affinity Points from Aliens?

I guess I was wrong in hearing that then. I have seen the "Kill 10 Aliens" quest; isn't that a quest from a trade depot?

    Affinity Points from Aliens?

I've been watching a few of the let's plays, and I thought I heard MadDjinn (or maybe someone else- I'm not sure) say that a player can gain affinity points towards purity by killing aliens, outside of quests. After a few minutes of research, I have been unable to find any literature confirming...

    "We are Family"?

I just played through a two-P duel hotseat as Pocatello (I have not unlocked the achievement for beating the game as him). I defeated the second player, winning a conquest victory, but was not awarded "The great spirit"

    "We are Family"?

God that's going to take forever. The achievement says "standard-size or larger", so I'd have to play 8 player hotseat. :P Are you sure achievements work in hotseat? I thought I read a while back that the only achievement a player could get from hotseat was the "win a multiplayer game" achievement.

    "We are Family"?

No mods, only G&K and BNW DLC enabled.

    "We are Family"?

I've tried getting this achievement ("Become the dominant Religion in every Capital city on a standard-size or larger map.") twice now, but neither time was I awarded the achievement. On the most recent game, I played France, Chieftain, Lakes, Large Map, Standard Speed. I first made my religion...

    "Tear Down This Wall!"?

My tourism had overcome his culture 85 turns prior, yes. I believe by the time I stopped playing, Paris' tourism output per turn was about 800.

    "Tear Down This Wall!"?

I finally did it! I won a cultural victory in 1898 (big surprise), but stuck around until 1983 for the flip. The zulus, which had conquered maybe 1/3 of the world at this point, chose Order, and flipped to Freedom THE FOLLOWING TURN. I was pleasantly surprised. Rates and Jon, yes, I was wrong...

    "Tear Down This Wall!"?

From my past experience, the biggest obstacle getting them to flip is that the max unhappiness generated by ideology is 20, so when their base happiness is just a few positive, they don't feel the need to flip.

    "Tear Down This Wall!"?

I should have checked back one last time before starting the game. It's mid-late Renaissance, and I'm already well on the way to a culture victory. I have all but a handful of wonders in my capital at this point, and those built by others are not crucial to a cultural victory (Statue of Zeus...

    "Tear Down This Wall!"?

Sounds good! I'm setting up a game now with the following settings to try and get this achievement one last time. France, Ancient, Prince, Lakes, Large, Quick, 5 Billion Years (for more food and more people), strategic resource balance. The other players will all be super agro- Ashurbanipal...

    "Tear Down This Wall!"?

When I've played games with this achievement as the sole intention from the start, I typically set the difficulty to settler (just to make it a very quick game). I've tried playing as France for the double theming bonus in the capital, and grabbed up every wonder out there (except the kremlin of...

    "Tear Down This Wall!"?

My happiness is generally enormous (150+) when playing these games solely to try and flip an order civ.

    "Tear Down This Wall!"?

How do I get this achievement? I must have tried 25 or 30 games to force an Order AI to switch to Freedom, but with no luck. I've set up the games on any of the difficulties settler-prince (theoretically, it shouldn't matter), I've tried duel me and them, and huge 12 or 18 players. I've...
