Hmm ... I played through it once, thought it worked well, honestly. But I really couldn't say if it is well-balanced or not. I went back to Civ V Vox Populi after one game. Though I love Civ IV, the stacks of doom are a bit grating.
I second that ... twelve years later.
The BUG mod only seems to create 1st, 2nd, etc. But if you want a list of civ-specific names, say HMS Victory, HMS Iron Duke, etc., etc., for your ships, how do you swing that?
One thing i wonder about nation specific ship names, which is a great addition to the game and really gets my immersion going ...
Would it be possible to transfer these names to the regular Civ4 game? Just copy the section with ship names from WTP's Civ4CivilizationInfos.xml and paste it into...
Thanks!
But ... hmm, the leaders and civs are messed up. For instance:
BeginPlayer
Team=1
LeaderType=LEADER_ZARA_YAQOB
LeaderName=TXT_KEY_LEADER_ZARA_YAQOB
CivDesc=Portuguese Tribe
CivShortDesc=Portugal
CivAdjective=Portuguese
And starting the map causes a CTD, maybe...
Yes, it's really too bad that it doesn't get updated. I always end up getting a CTD at a certain point in my games when using this mod, even with the lowered graphics settings. Turning off the mod, the game works smoothly until the very end.
Maybe a "lite" version could work, keeping only the...
I'm happy to report that it fixed the CTD. I've so far encountered one bug, though. The names of the citizens on the city screen are incorrect. See the attached screenshot.
I see. Thanks! But 3.0.2 is not available yet? I'll just have to wait, then ...
Managed to run into the same error in a new game today. Oh well. :crazyeye:
Hmm ... I encounter a recurrent crash on the same turn in my current game. It happens every time I end the turn, right before my next turn starts. I made a dump file. Including both files here.
NB! I had to exhange the file name from DMP to TXT, otherwise I couldn't upload it.
I'm using WTP...
But starting locations for Europeans are always randomized? I've encountered the Spanish in Canada and French in South America. Would have preferred it the other way around. Maybe it can be altered in the map script, but I have no idea how. :shifty:
