Once again, this is dishonest... No one is saying DLCs are evil and should never exist. Proof is almost everyone here defends Firaxis model of 2 or 3 DLCs. The OP is making fun of those who DESIGNS their game in a way to sell 10/20 DLCs, making the original offering feel very thin....

That's just plain dishonest. You accuse him of whining for freebies, but completely obscure the fact that the designer PLANNED a complete game, then released 25% of said game in the original version then PLANNED to sell the remaining 75% as DLCs that you CAN decide not to buy, but will...

Could be... But IMHO it's all part of a marketing campaing preparing the announcements for CIV 7... It started some 3 months ago with the monthly challenges, then the winter sales, now the Free to play... It's all to get people back to talking about Civ... I'm really expecting some official...

Finally did this on Emperor ! Score of 944, 19 cities, 8 biplanes.... Took out all reachable barb camp and at least half a dozen GDRs. Very fast gov plaza+Ancestral Hall then Ottawa pumps out settlers pretty much all the way... As most have said, Encampments first always, then another...
