I’ve never liked Civ’s implementation of espionage. If they put in something high level, where if you gained a superiority you got to see their lands/units, gained a little more insight into their thoughts about you, got a 5 turn notice before they declared war, etc… I think it...
I was fighting Japan on a smallish continent. It kind of looked like your hand from the side when you’re “pinching someone’s head.” I had pushed him back to where I had the center of the continent and the north peninsula of the bay, he was on the south fork. I had my army...
I’m at work and have never implemented a mod despite hundreds of hours playing 4 and some on 5. So I guess I qualify as mod-stupid.
Anyway, I’ve heard the Valk’s Economy Mod mentioned a few times. Is there a vague description of what it does anywhere?
I’ve worked Japan down to one city with no units that’s entirely surrounded by longswordmen and knights backed up by 3 catapults and 2 frigates. He still refuses to let go of that 400 gold he’s got, so I’m experience farming him since he’s only doing 1 damage per...
That is very clearly not at all what he said.
Granting that he implied dealing with rude people, making that statement has a very different level of vitriol than what you’re asking here. And I have absolutely no idea what you’re attempting to accomplish during this whole exchange.
I like to give my conquered cities derogatory names, so the punks that live there know what I think of them.
EDIT: I guess it would be a cool feature to let it auto-assign the next name for your civ, but it's not something I'd probably ever use.
I was never fond of the idea of having 50 divisions fortifying a single hill. It was absurd. I dont know that a strict 1upt was necessary, but I vastly prefer it to the ridiculous stacks.
I think my current biggest mistake is letting the city governors make decisions. I set them to a specific focus (usually production), and I’m only pulling in about 40/turn around the time of gunpowder.
Where did I say it was? Is the +8 culture per turn part of your plan to win the game?
If you want to argue that Egypt's bonus isn't that good, that's one argument. But obviously the computer is going to get huge production bonuses on Deity. All you need is one of the other civs that are...
Maybe I guess it always seemed to me that deity should be borderline impossible to win. It cant be done by mega-AI since it doesnt exist, so the only real solution is massive production bonus for AI.
