Oh there is a possibility of a unifying theory. If the tracker is who watched Snerk is fallible/interfered with/Sneak un-trackable etc. It could open the possibility of both Caelien and Spaceman as mafia.

But if the Uzi + Katana is a signifier of a two person kill then we know JHT can't be one of those killers.

It would be odd if it weren't. Zack's death only fits with the Uzi, which means either the attacks were coordinated, or something fairly improbable occurred between independent parties. Not totally unlikely, since both parties would probably have similar motivations for who to eliminate, if we assume the Mafiya and Yakuza are attacking like normal factions. It can't be a single person kill though, that doesn't fit the context IMO.

As such, I would also agree we likely have two Mafiya left. More than four Yakuza seems exorbitantly pretty high.

I would be astounded if the Yakuza were still alive, more than four member in a (at least) two scum team game seems hugely unbalanced, and the early kills makes them being a cult also look unlikely.

If we are looking at spaceman and Caelian, my head says Caelian as there seem to be s number of discrepancies, but my heart says spaceman. I remember him pushing a weak case on someone early in the game that had all the hallmarks of a "lets push a bit, but not hard enough that it comes back to bite me" case.

Well, yes... if the katana is the indicator we agree.

But I've a crazy thought that contributes nothing to the discussion but perhaps worth to consider later if plan A, B and C fails... the katana could be Verarde's ability in action, yesterday he came with: "hey I'm a protown with this ability, you need to thank me for taking out two scumboys", and refused to give any details of his actions.
Its clear he didn't pay much attention to the game and its evolution, he was poorly active for a couple of phases, identifying himself as the katana killer/user/ability was a suicide if we consider he dispatched protown choxorn, so he could have lied about his targets and omitted the katana. As we discussed before, he got hit two consecutive nights and at the same time his targets were both scum? And nobody tried to lynch him? What are the odds?

As I said, it contributes nothing and it is just an improbable theory.

One thing to note is that since both Snerk and Calein were mafiya, Legato is not above suspicion of being mafiya anymore.

the info is there... its just putting it into a form which explains when we have seen.

We have a remaining bad guy whos action is un-accounted for. I am doubting that caelien performed those attacks night 6 & 7 instead of snerk. I think it is more likely that caelien was a scanner/devil type role. Easier to twist the truth and claim fool then make up another explanation.

The whole sense that I get from it all is that the Mafia inaction is a result of a fear of getting tracked/watched.
