Forced perspective...

I don't think it's photoshopped and the perspective looks about moderate wide angle (around 35 mm in 35 mm camera terms), she's only sitting slightly behind the dog so it will not account for a huge difference, but a small one.

It says here that Newfoundland males weigh 60-70 kgs, so if this is a particularly large one it probably looks pretty much like this.. Crazy big.
