Night Seven
The Martian Infantry rushed into Vegas, killing a few patrons along the way. Eventually they found jarrema, and without thinking, struck him down.

The President was sleeping after witnseeing yet another massacre by the Martians in some country over at notAmerica.
'Mr. President. Mr. President. I need you to sign this!'
'What is it? My last will and testament?'
'It is an order to deploy our nuclear capability, sir.'

'Ack ack ack, ack ack!!!' sang the Martian on the walking robot as he stomped along the street.
'It's heading for the White House!!' 'Run for your lives!!!'
The bullets from Mitch's gun could not penetrate the thick armour on the robot. Neither could the raybeams from some captured rayguns… so they ran, all of them. The robot smashed into the White House and got to the President's sanctum. It didn't find the President's body until it looked at its own soles, and wiped him off one of its feet.
