It is a time of war in an alternate history of the world as we know it, set during the crossover period of 1979 and 1980. The world has 18 different factions:
Egypt
France
British Empire (England)
Hispanic Empire (Spain)
Roman States of Europe (Rome)
Germanic States of Europe (Germany)
Russia
Greece
African Union (Mali)
Arabia
Persia
India
China
Japan
Mongolia
United States of America
Central States of Native America (Aztec)
Southern States of Native America (Inca)
There is a situation in Europe. The Germans, Spanish and Romans are a part of an attempted European Union. France and England were once a part of this union, until their friends, Greece, refused to become a part of it. The alliance between Germany, Spain and Rome decided to use force to bring them into the fold. France and England pulled out of the union in protest, but a little too late to save Greece. Rome, in the end, made Greece and its territories a vassal state. It is up to England and France to free their friends from slavery against the union.
In the Middle East, Persia wishes to bring Arabia into its borders, but the Arabs (along with their Egyptian allies) have a different idea - wipe out Persia entirely. Meanwhile in Pakistan, Indian troops are preparing for an invasion of Persia from the east.
The African Union has managed to claim most of continental Africa through diplomacy and conquest. However, France, Rome, Egypt and Spain still hold most of North Africa. The union plans on waiting for the right moment to strike in order to unite Africa.
In the past, Russia and Mongolia had been at war with each other. The Russians pushed the Mongols back, to the point where the Mongols became desperate. In an attempt to save themselves, they approached the Chinese about the possibility of attacking Russia on their behalf. China agreed on the condition of Mongolia becoming a Chinese vassal state. After the agreement was made, China went behind their back and caused the war with Russia to end, against Mongolia's will. The Mongols would never trust China again. However, their Japanese friends in the east have attacked China from their Korean territories. Perhaps they can liberate the Mongol army?
France and China are also at war over the ownership of Vietnam. The French were pushed out. Now, from Madagascar, the French troops are on their way back to Vietnam through the Indian Ocean.
Most of the Americas are at peace at this time. However, the Hispanic Empire wish to push the British out of the Falkland Islands, and the French out of French Guyana. Meanwhile in the Bering Strait, Russia is showing suspicious activity off the coast of Alaska. Should the USA prepare for an invasion?
