    FfH Acetum Cucumbis

Yes, there is at least 1 person who looks for your updates. It has been a while since I have played your mod, but I enjoyed some of the changes and look forward to seeing what else you do with it.

    8.3x Bugs Thread

I have noticed on multiple occasions when playing Balsereph (more specifically, the illusionist, I don't know if it happens with the others) that mage level units will disappear. It seems to happen the most often when autocasting summon puppet. I had it happen with mages and with Gaelen, but...

Questions from a new Wild Mana player

When you are starting a game, use the custom game screen. You will see game options along the right. One of them is for the noble houses, and I believe that the default is having the houses off. You may have to start a new game to turn them on. I'm not sure, but you may be able to turn the...

The future of Fall from Heaven

I don't know what the game will be like, but based on this quote from Kael, I don't think it will be similar to Civ FfH.

The future of Fall from Heaven

I think people are forgetting this was originally based on a D&D campaign, with the figures we know in the game being PCs or NPCs. If they are releasing a stand-alone, it may be in that direction, either an RPG game, or the actual campaign world for D&D through WOTC. Or maybe a MMORPG. That...

    Sidar survival challenge- winnable?

I am currently at turn 298 and holding my own. I am close tech levels and have 6 engineers, 2 sages, and 3 merchants. I was unfortunately playing against Khazad, so beat to Runes and decided to go Leaves. Last two GP had over 80% prophet, but got Sage anyway. I'll keep you posted as to how...

    Ljosalfar Archers

You can never make the scales work out accross the board. Like you, TimSLS, I like to think of the world as very large, at least ten miles accross per square but probably much more. But in that case, how can archers fire into the adjacent square, and how can fire balls, Maelstroms, and rings...

    Frequently Asked Questions

The Kuriotes have an airship to address this very problem. Yes, if you have met your imit, captured cities will become settlements. Depending on your economy and civic choices, far flung settlements may or may not be advantageous. I normally go for them, but it is a playstyle choice...

    Fall Further 050 Balance Issues

I played one game to specifically try out Essus, but found that except for very high level units, the regular promotions were more attractive than the Essus ones. I really wanted to be impressed by them, but was a little underwhelmed. I don't think they are useless, so I didn't post anything...

    Mountain yields

Kael pretty much came right out and said that things were finished, with mostly only bugs and balance issues to work out, then AI issues. He has spent several years getting the project to this point, and now wants to perfect it and then let the mod-modders make their changes. If he keeps on...

    Frequently Asked Questions

They are strength 7, but the holy damage is a different damage type. Certain units are resistant or susceptable to different damage types.

    Mountain yields

I don't like cats, so go right ahead. Your numbers are fine, but I still think tying into the Khazad world spell would be good. Perhaps with the worldspell, a chance to find resources? Would that save the cat?

    Frequently Asked Questions

No matter what their strengths, they will always have an 80% withdraw, and they cannot kill a unit. The difference with attacking with an injured catapult is that they will not do much damage before they withdraw. They don't suffer perm damage, it must just be their attack and defense values.

    Mountain yields

If you were going to give them yield, I agree give it only to the dwarves. I would make it very low yield, like 1 hammer, and not increase. To make up for this, greatly increase to chance that the worked peak would give a resource that would increase the yield and automatically be hooked up...

Cartography (Open Borders) (Map Trading) (City States)

It may be a matter of difficulty levels. I always pass over cartography because I can't afford to delay the worker and defense techs, and won't have the time to build the Pact anyway. I usually don't go back to get it until around writing or later(often it is just a throw in on a tech trade)...

Any ideas to balance Pyre Zombies?

I think where it becomes the issue is after the first five or six combats, the entire stack is almost dead, even before they had the chance to fight. Then, one more explosion can kill them. If ther was a limit, I would rather see the limit to number of units, not amount of damage. But, then...

Any ideas to balance Pyre Zombies?

yes, when you have the time to do both, it would be an advantage. I was just trying to point out that, while very good, perhaps even very, very good, for an initial rush, PZ might not be the best long term strategy. And I would level the adepts, not the skeletons. Combat five, spell...

Any ideas to balance Pyre Zombies?

At tier two as Sheaim, I would rather have 12 adepts with death and a few combat promotions than 12 pyre zombies. The zombies are great at taking a city in one turn. But what you end up with is a conquered city, half as many pyre zombies, and some of them injured. While you took the city no...

    Broader Alignments

You may alwys consider war an evil act in our world and our moral set. But in a world with demons trying to bring the end of the world, is war always evil? And good in FfH is different than our good. It is more based around the stopping of evil and adhering to the Compact than anything we...
