    You can rush people on deity warlords with war chariots. Horse achers cost twice as much but have 1 more strength. Build the stable if you like, but don't build horse archers over war chariots (unless you want to kill siege)

    You want to map other continents as fast as possible for the circumnavigation bonus and to find all the AI so you don't get into a bad diplomatic situation.

    Scouts are the cheapest way to explore large spaces of enemy territory, not useless if you need to find them to open traderoutes.

    You can culture kill barbarian cities with madrassa. 25 turns is pretty reasonable, less if you get the 1000 year bonus. 50 turns is pretty hard to conquer barb cities before AI rush it with swords. Madrassa extra slots have redundancy with spiritual.

    A mobility flanking 2 horse archer is worth 2.5 flanking 2 horse archers (about). No offensive promotion seems even close to that. An extra promotion is worth ... I dunno, 10%? 20%? more, so experience-wise it's probably better to distribute exp. Defensively, a super defender can be worth...

    You attacked a guy with copper with swords. Early copper is probably the worst case scenario for rushing, probably worse than founding religions, protective, or on a hill. Though even just 10 archers probably isn't rushable, you need collateral to deal with unit spammers efficiently.

    Aside from tech priorities and such, switch tiles to keep your net gold/beakers at +8. Mines provide 4 food/hammers, riverside cottages provide 2+2 commerce. So switch out your mines while you produce workers/settlers for riverside cottages. Lakes and unimproved clams/crabs have the same...

    Or you could build a temple and run a priest for 34 turns vs 50, or a library and scientists if you want to burn a great person. Or if you can build stonehenge/oracle, that would be cheaper and faster. Although it's an innovative idea, maybe if you have stone.

    Move warrior 1SE instead of southwest. It's on a hill so you still see 1SSE, and you don't have to scout the coastline later. The only information you lose is if 2S has a special resource, or any hills 3S, 3S1E.
