Siam, France, Songhai, Persia, Russia and the Iroquois are always runaways still. As for new civs, Austria and the Huns have a habit of getting huge. Byzantium and Carthage never get past 3 or 4 cities before being obliterated.

Now that the game has been out a few weeks, which new Civ do you enjoy playing the most? I like Austria. If you have bountiful resources and lots of cash, marrying city states turns you into a total monster. Carthage is also a favorite of mine.

Whenever I download a new mod, it gives me a warning where the install bar is and says "Mouseover for more details". Problem is, when I mouse over, there aren't any details! Anyone else have this problem? It happens with every single mod.

I don't know what the last patch did to the A.I, but now most civs don't even have an empire by the Renaissance period. It's 1400 in my game, and almost every civ has placed maybe 3-4 cities, MAX, on a LARGE map. What the hell? There's huge swaths of land open, and none of them both to expand at...

England's beats out every one else's by a mile. Epic beyond words. Second place goes to the Ottomans, followed by Russia and France.

My favorite is Babylon. They're amazing if you want a science victory. On my last Prince game I was at 72% literacy, and the next closest Civ was at 56%. Also, Nebby has the best leader screen and best personality. He's like an evil Bond villain. If you build a National Wonder, the right wonders...

I don't know what happened! After downloading the newest patch, the "American" style city set, with the green skyscrapers, has disappeared. Now the Aztecs and Iroquois have the middle eastern style buildings. Has this happened to anyone else?

Every single one, even with Random Personalities enabled. Siam is always huge, and always loves to pick off and destroy everything around it. It's either Siam, Iroquois, Russia or Egypt. Yet China, Songhai, Spain and Greece almost never have big empires. China had a whole continent to itself and...

It sucks that you can't save up culture points anymore. :( Good patch besides that little annoyance though.

Rahmkamheng or whatever his name is, is so annoying. I hate his stupid lisp. And they seemed to turn Alexander into some bratty college kid with an attitude.

I like Alexander's, Askia's and Montezuma's the best. Germany and Russia's are rather boring.

I built the Eiffel Tower in Berlin, and it appeared completed, but as soon as I built a stadium, it reverted back to the construction graphics. Is anyone else having this problem?

I seriously hope somebody makes a mod soon to replace these things. They look awful. Ugly circus tents. And then in the modern area they look like little arab markets. :vomit:

Whenever I start a new game, it starts off very slow and laggy, but then, after about 30 turns, the game works perfectly and there is no lag whatsoever, even when the entire map is filled. It only happens near the beginning, and then slowly the game speeds up. I'm playing on max settings...

Maybe I just haven't found it, but it's annoying how you can't even see why somebody hates or likes you. I also miss the demographics like the top 5 cities, the cities tab, etc... Otherwise, pretty good game.

The game was pretty much unplayable when I started it, now there's hardly any lag whatsoever? Anybody else experience this?
