I don't have it yet, but isn't BNW supposed to be pretty good? These idiots on Amazon shouldn't be allowed to play Civ.
There's many great images in G&K's loading screen, but I don't like the main menu screen. Can I replace it with one of the loading screen images?
Thanks.
Moved to C&C.
In my current game, I am Gandhi. I share a continent with Bismarck, Montezuma, Hiawatha, Alexander, and Washington. We're all friends but Alexander. I have three cities, and I am at about +4 happiness. All of my friends have seven or eight cities. When the latest "people who smile the most"...
After playing with the latest patch, have you changed your minds at all? Speak freely, I won't argue, I'm just interested in people's opinions...
Thanks guys.
I'm surrounded by mountains to the north, a river to the south...and on turn 1, my warriors popped a ruin and became spearmen...and a bunch of plains and hills and flood plains...

Trade routes seem to be something...
But I definitely mostly like...! I think Civ V is a fantastic game overall, the more I play the more I like.
Things I like-
hexes
1UPT
ranged units that fire at range!
diplomacy additions, such as new pacts and agreements.
strategic units limited by strategic resources.
city states...
am I missing it? In the Civ IV city screen on the right there was a nice list of all resources and their benefits. I can't seem to find this in Civ V...
I'm playing at max settings, DX11 and this is terrible. Civ IV Colonization had much better graphics than this. In Civ IV every tree swayed in the breeze, you could zoom in nice and close and see waves lapping on the shore, there was waves and white water in the rivers. None of this is in Civ...
according to the manual (pg 32), flood plains have the exact same effect and value as a grassland. Is this right? In Civ IV flood plains produced much more food at the expense of being unhealthy. This pretty much renders flood plains useless...
