[GS] Does aurora still appear post-GS?

I've seen posts mentioning that they hadn't seen aurora in Civ6 since GS. Is this an actual issue, or the result of pure chance?

Civilization Revolution 2 Plus coming to PS Vita?

This has yet to be properly announced, only leaked in some rating board updates. We now have a full trophy list, leaving us with no doubt: CivRev2 has been ported to PS Vita in the form of CivRev2 Plus, coming along with XCOM Plus. Hopefully the PS Vita version can actually have multiplayer.

    Strategy Informer interview and preview

There's not a lot of new gameplay info (such as new building: Caravansary; old trade routes are renamed City Connections) here, but the interview provided some explanation of Firaxis' thought process. Interview: http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/civilizationvbravenewworld/interviews.html...

iOS versions of CivRev updated, multiplayer now available

2K Games has unexpectedly updated the iOS versions of the game. The good news: the multiplayer has at last been implemented. The less good news: it seems it's available as an in-game purchase, along with other such DLC added to the game: 4 new wonders, and unique buildings and units for 4 civ sets.

Coastline graphics in Strategic View mode

Recently I've been playing Civ5 on a notebook with integrated graphics chip, which means the game is only playable using Strategic View. The SV mode has almost everything from the 3D view, but there is one important exception, and it's basic enough that it should be called an oversight: it has...

G&K still lacks Hannibal in the Great General list

Hannibal is not in Civ5 vanilla's Great General list, possibly for a very simple reason: Civ5's Great People lists are inherited from BtS rather than C4W, and BtS has of course removed Hannibal from the list due to him being represented as a civ leader, leaving only his father, Hamilcar Barca...

4th scenario - American civil war?

As promised, the first thing I did after completing my download was to poke into its files. There are quite a few assets made for a civil war scenario, from unit models to technology voice quotes. In other words, Firaxis indeed planned to make 4 scenarios for G&K. We can now speculate whether...

Ed Beach interview at Kill Screen (20120605)

http://killscreendaily.com/articles/interviews/civilization-v-developer-ed-beach/ It's written as part of a column on turn-based games, so the topics it covered is wider than usual and not limited to G&K. New info: Ed Beach once worked on the Hubble Space Telescope. He designed all the civ...

    Better tourism bonuses for Civ5

Currently there are two bonuses in Civ5 that are intended to reflect modern tourism: both the Mughal Fort and the Moai statues provide gold after discovery of Flight. The problem is that the implementation is too haphazard. It's obvious that the idea began as a way to make Mughal Fort slightly...

    Great Admiral names

I just realized that some of the most famous admirals in history have already appeared in Civ4's Great People list, and Civ5 inherited it from Civ4. The great voyagers are all in the Great Merchant list: Harkuf (ancient Egypt) Hanno (Phoenecian explorer) Pytheas (a geographer rather...
