In civ1, civ2 and smac the palace/headquarters was destroyed when the capital was captured + no revolution/splitting the empire into an old and new civ occured.
I can't remember the situation in civ3 and I haven't seen the AI moving its palace in civ4, until this game.
Btw, the Inca and...
At King level and higher the AI gets extra starting units, 1 or 2 defense units and 1 exploring unit.
For the Shoshone all units will be pathfinders which means 2 pathfinders at King, 3 at Emperor and 4 at Immortal and Deity.
Spoiler shows 3 pathfinders at Emperor.
A lot of stuff in civ5 is...
I have a question : is it possible to link/embed videos in a post/reply from any other side other than Youtube?
And if it's possible, how does the embedded code work with this site?
I can't see any difference between giving gold and getting extra influence from a city-state with or without those policies.
The picture below is with Philanthropy (+25%) and Charitable missions (+30%).
I wonder why some of my cities have double culture on their jungle tiles?
I don't think this is possible, so is it a bug? If so, what was the cause?
This is the info about my religion :
Pantheon -> sacred path
Religion -> Buddhism
Piety policy -> Religious Tolerance
In a recent game I had the opportunity to do some heavy tech stealing (I lost count) from the beginning until the end game.
The EPs needed to steal a tech is 4-5 times less than the base EP costs which is 1.5 the beaker costs.
So, to transfer commerce into in EPs for stealing techs is much...
Maybe someone can explain why some extracted zip/rar files create an empty archive while it's clear (file size) that there has to be content.
Is it the rar/zip verison (old/new) ?
Has it anything to do with free versus full paid version of the rar/zip software ?
Or was the original file not a...
Here's the problem : I don't understand why the AP resolutions "declare war on X" are available while no civ with the AP religion is at war?
The first screenshot shows 4 possible targets and not 6. Team Mao/Gilgamesh and Catherine also don't have the AP religion.
Before the last hotfix there were no problems playing civ5 in the off-line mode.
From memory, Steam got updated itself before the hotfix was installed
and now Steam isn't even loaded after booting up the computer.
I can only play civ5 after logging in (on-line) with the Steam account for...
I wanted to do a massive double upgrade of all my buildings, more than 20 and most of them were granaries,
with the two mini wonders, Renaissance + Industrial Revolution.
Result : only one of each type of building was upgraded.
I had more than 10 small granaries and only 1 was upgraded to...
The toggle map doesn't work properly when turning on and off resource icons, yield icons and hex grid.
Turning off/on the hex grid isn't possible and turning on/off the resource + yield icons has only visible effect when both are turned on.
Each time a civ achieves an era victory (early or late doesn't matter), the game crashes.
The "CivWorld has lost connection" pops up, the browser needs to be refreshed and finally the game must be loaded again.
The battle should stop when one side hasn't any stacks left and not when the strength meter has become completely red or blue.
In a battle situation, the last stack was reduced to 0 units, but wasn't eliminated because the arrow hadn't reached the top/bottom part of the strength meter.
The closed borders civic should require a minimum of players, 10 players or so, before it can be adopted.
See picture :
This is an unacceptable situation in a current game, almost 80 players can't join a civ.
After some major battles I must conclude that the current battle system will ruin the fun in CivWorld for a lot of players.
Let me (try) explain why :
- you have to be on-line to command your troops changing their stances + replacing losses
- wonder events : Call to arms versus Secret...
