    CS's almost always embargoed

I agree, that's why I think civs should have an option to defy the world congress, with a diplomatic penalty.

The Ai building one hex away from the coast is actually a good idea.

Yes, but sometimes you can get lots of sea resources and negate some of the city's vulnerability by settling 1 hex inland. Some real life examples of cities that are basically 1 hex inland are Washington DC, London, Rome.

The Ai building one hex away from the coast is actually a good idea.

I use this strategy myself sometimes. I need a few coastal cities to build a navy, but I don't want ALL my cities to be coastal as they are vulnerable to naval attacks. Settling 1 hex inland still lets your borders expand into the ocean and you can get resources like whales with work boats...

    CS's almost always embargoed

I see city states embargoed all the time. It doesn't really make sense to treat all of them the same, when city state A may be in a totally different situation and part of the world than city state B. There should be an option to embargo individual city states. This would add depth and...

    Question about 'Starting Bias'

I think only some civs have a start bias, not all. And the bias may be stronger for some civs than others. Also, a start bias only increases the chance that the civ starts in a certain location, it does not guarantee it. Russia usually starts in the tundra or forests, but there is a chance...

    mouse cursor hidden under menu

My graphics driver is up to date, so I don't know what could be causing the problem. Maybe there is just a slight incompatibility between the game and my graphics card. Regardless, the graphics card manufacturer and/or firaxis should be fixing these things. I feel like a simple mod could...

    A Better America

That is a good idea. It could even go from 1850-2000, because America started to become powerful in the mid 1800's, and that's when massive immigration began. There should also be a combat bonus.

    A Better America

I would like to see more of a 20th century America. The only thing that gives America that feel is the B17, everything else is colonial/early America. America is known for being a superpower, and 18th century America was basically nothing. The only reason why America won the revolutionary war...

Prevent Other Civs From Settling Near You

The AI should be fixed to settle cities more realistically. Right now the AI settles cities extremely far away from their borders (sometimes there is even another civ inbetween). It would be like if the Romans settled Rome, and then built their second city where Moscow is.

[BNW] The Bomb and AI Decision Making

I've noticed the same thing and this should be changed. WWIII will probably have a lot of small tactical nukes that are used on the battlefield. Major population centers would probably be left alone, at least initially unless if things get out of control.

    The Civilization for Me.

America is a good choice too, they are very flexible and adaptable and can do well in just about any situation.

    The Civilization for Me.

I like Rome. You get a 25% production bonus while building buildings that are already in your capital. So if you are passive, it's real easy to expand and grow your empire very quickly. And when you are finally ready to attack, you have the infrastructure to build and support a huge military.

The most defensible location of all time

I once had a defensive position in MP that was even better than that. There was a chokepoint because of mountains with only one tile that could be passed through. To the rear of that, I had several artillery that had that tile covered, and I would cycle my melee units as they got injured to...

    British not English ?

The terms British and English are pretty much used interchangably in America. Oddly enough the nation is almost never referred to as the UK, even though that's what most people who live there call it. I personally prefer to have England in the game over Britain, because England was basically...

    mouse cursor hidden under menu

Civ runs perfectly on my desktop, but on my laptop the mouse cursor is hidden underneath the city management menu. The city management menu still "works", but it is extremely annoying. I found a thread on another forum with screenshots that explains my problem perfectly...

    Beauty Contest

Royalty in general are inbred parasites. Look at WWI, the biggest scam ever. Almost every country was ruled by a monarchy, and all the monarchies were literally cousins. If the House of Windsor (which is actually a branch of the German Sax-Coburg Gotha, they just changed their name to "Windsor"...

    Beauty Contest

Catherine definitely has the nicest rack. But Theadora haw much more sex appeal about her. When I have diplomatic conversations with Theodora, I feel like she is trying to subtly seduce me, so that she can get her way. Isabella is probably #3. But she has much more of an innocent "girl" look...

    Beauty Contest

The first time I played civ V, I thought that Merkel was the leader of Germany. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was Bismarck. Please comment on the topic.

Which Civ we should have before Civilization VI?

There should be a Kazakhstan civ. Their unique building could be a brothel, which will increase happiness and gold. Their unique unit should be in the modern era, perhaps a catapult. (sorry, I was just thinking of the movie "Borat")

Which Civ we should have before Civilization VI?

I'm not ignoring those people. There are people who live in Siberia who have no connection to Russia, and they don't even identify as Russian, yet Russia controls that land. There could be a Tibet civ because they are distinctly different from Chinese, but China controls this land. All the...
