I am getting the error with my setup. I have an AMD 5600 X2, 2 gigs of dual channel ram, and an 8800GTS with 512 megs of memory. I have the newest nvidia drivers. So it appears that it is not limited to ATI cards. I am hoping to find a solution.

The Heroes of Might And Magic series is awesome. Currently they are version V. It is a fantasy game, but it is great fun and graphics sing. Another is the Perfect General II. It is older but is sure is fun. Let us know what you pick up, I am curious!

Sometimes, especially early in the game, I will have workers build roads to resources and such that are a few squares outside of my borders knowing that soon I will be able to access them. Does anyone else do this? Does it seem like wasted effort?

Ahhh - you mean the kind of song and dance your ancestors engaged in? Aqueducts, literature, and legions were not always around. In fact, all real civs had music and song before hey had all those others things. And please, turn you music off and move on. Sheesh.:confused:
