I've just encoutered a strange culture bug and attached the savegame:
Almost all my cities now aquire one new land tile nearly each turn.
I don't know exactly what caused the bug.
I opened the Tradition social policy tree one turn before...?
I just gained a random event of Barbarian Deserters wishing to join my ranks.
The problem was: a Barbarian Raider (which is an Ironclad) poped up in my capital with no sea or lake access. I could not grant the unit to a city state as gift because this works only with units on non-city-tiles, so...
I just recognized, that fighting barbarian hunters never show any combat animation.
Is there something missing?
@Ahriman
Okay, that would make sense then.
@Thalassicus
I don't know if you are still working on UP&VE 1.66 (without G&K) but I've found some visual issues here.
My Scouts have "Ignores Terrain Cost" which is displayed in one popup with camaraderie (don't know if this should be). So the upgrade Recon 1 wouldn't make any sense...
I only play marathon speed and don't have any problems with worker speed - of course due to the bonuses you can already get (I think it was 2x +25% speed). And there are 6 to 8 workers in my empire working all the time without much pausing in the later game.
I once submitted a thread that described an error in [v150] where the :c5culture: bonus was shown on the tile before the appropiate improvement had been built.
Perhaps this bug now in [v155] has something to do with that?
@Thalassicus
I would appreciate if the last Order policy would grant another bonus, because in almost all games I've played so far I could not complete this last policy due to ressource limitations and therefore missed the Order finisher bonus.
I agree with Zaldron. Building all happiness-buildings and chosing the appropiate policies grants so much happiness.
When conquering other nations, I don't keep all the cities but rather burn most of them down and let the influence grow (or buy tiles) to keep the territory connected.
And: if...
Imo the whole military feature hasn't gained very much priority in civ5. There are so many strange behaviours and unit traits in the vanilla game... some of them even cannot be fixed via mods.
If I had not found this UP&VEM mod I would ask myself why I'd spent money for this game.
@rfxmills
As far as I know, the rebase radius depends on the movement points of the unit. So if flying over water would be possible, you could easily fly to another city.
"die if finishing over water" doesn't make any sense when you want to attack a naval unit and therefore finish your...
