    Strange Gods known as Sid?

The title will make sense soon. Very soon, but in a humorous way. No offense to Sid Meir of course, just a slight friendly joke about how amazing it is you created such a gaming legend!:) Now, before I begin I will explain the 'scenario'. I changed a few civs to new ones. Some were for...

    A new spin on religion

I have an idea running in my head that might allow more religions in the game, but not overflow. What if religions came and went? For example, if a religion stops spreading in the game, and other religions enter to the cities that have that religion, those cities will slowly (on a percentile...

    Choose Religion + Advanced Start

I loaded up an advanced start as Native Americans, and I chose a couple techs to get a religion. I also had "Choose religion" enabled. It chose it automatically, picking Islam. Later on when I researched... Theology IIRC... it came up with this screen I edited it for size. So that's what...

    Question on Native American Civ

What are the city names? Do they follow one or two tribes or is each city a tribal name? Also how does this impact the "barbarian cities" having names of some Native tribes? If they are in they still use them, or never again?

Neat idea to increase religious diversity

Well now that we can untie religions to specific techs, and essentially have "Religion Spawn" tied to a tech... perhaps we can add religions and still maintain the "optimal number of seven" that Firaxis figured. This would solve a few things: allow many leaders to have a favorite civ, as they...

North Americans how are you coping?

Working on a simple mod, have a question or do. (No research for religions)

Alright, I'm making a simple mod that would essentially take all the religions and set them so they don't need to be researched. Why? I like it being more random, not knowing what faith(s) will pop up in my time of the game. It also should lead to more interesting spreads. So no more Isabella...

Why does the AI civs collapse so frequently? Sometimes only 1 or 2 survive to start.

I've played as Russians, Romans, Chinese, and Americans. As the Russians I took Berlin, and another German city in what I'd call Poland/East Prussia. None of the European civs lasted more then 50-75 turns. They all collapsed very quickly. As the Chinese I saw both India and Persia collapse...

    Science Rate - Acting Odd

Each turn the science rate automatically decreases by 10%, I keep having to increase it. What's the cause of that?

Possibly coding ideas? Resolving Sumer/Babylon and Rome/Byzantin issues might be done

Two ways: Silly/Cop out way: Include coding if Rome is in Byantine is out and vice versa (same with Sumer/Babylon) or BETTER way (and thus needing less unique buildings/units) If a certain leader is in they get a certain name (IE Stalin makes Russia the Soviets, Justinian the Romans...

Warlords and scenarios - Should old greats return?

Now while we have plenty of historical scenarios to choose from, what about some of the old and creative ones? I'm referring more to the scenarios included in Civilization II... mostly the second scenario pack. While we want civs, game mechanics, units, new civics, religions, etc... and not...

    Expansion Civs

PLEASE vote for no more then 3 Sorry is this has been posted already, but I didn't see it. So what do you think or want the new civs to be? What do you think of the three we already know? Of six new civs we know three: Vikings Gaul Carthage Civs from previous Vanilla incarnations are likely...

    Marathon game speed?

When was this introduced? I just installed the latest patch and don't remember it being in there, but I didn't see anything about it in the info for the new patch. So is this simply faster gameplay then quick? Sorry for the Newb-ish question from and oldie like me.

Expanding UN to be (possibly) evil as well

Please no political arguements, just a fun idea. With the current UN you can mandate: Universal Suffrage, Freedom of Religon, etc, etc, etc... What if you could BAN those? Better still would be "Mandate Government Civic" and you vote for which civic you want to mandate. :) So you...

Civilization Preferences in Civ 3 vs Civ 4

Ok... in Civ 3 we likely had our preferences of which civs we played. This might be determined by the civ traits, the Unique Unit, color, or personal taste. In Civ 3 I think I only played the French twice. I don't remember why entirely. I'd say thier color was certainly part of it, but I...

Creating a scenario: Rome in the Modern World IV

Yes, I'm making one for Civ IV. Now granted, I have to get used to the world builder, but that's coming together fast. This scenari *Parallels* real history... so you'll see some famaliar countries in the game that likely would not exist if Rome had never fallen... such as England, America...

I won't give you the details of the map so you get a sense of exploration while I play. :mischief: Sorry for the small image size, just wanted to play it safe with my first post. I'll either post larger images when needed, or zoom in depending on the situation. I begin the game on a huge...
