Since when was Turner_727 made into a mod? Doesn't teh forum identify the mods in their status box? I thought convention was that only mods should use those mod tags. Or is it amateur modding night?

    Dungeons & Dragons: Mystara

They are and they aren't. Dragonlance (originally) used the AD&D rules, whilst Mystara used teh D&D rules. DL is a world; D&D is a set of rules. In any case, Dragonlance and Mystara are two game worlds, and are completely different from each other.

@ded moroz Sorry, but having a civ called "slavs" is akin to having a civ called "latins". It only makes sense to social scientists who need artifical terms to group disparate peoples. If we have only one slavic civ, call it the Russians.

I'm thinking of making a change to the rules which would exponentially increase the power of late age units. Does anyone else think this would be a change for the better?

I dunno. I think the fact that the ww2 production of T-34 outstripped the ww2 production of all German tanks of all makes and models put together is quite a rekarkable eat. Certainly the best way to mdel that would be to leave the stats alone and just make it cheaper to build. It's also the...

Actually, regarding UUs, teh cossack makes as much sense for the Poles. I'd give the Russians that ww2 mass-produced tank instead.

Personally, I'd pick Russia and Poland-Lithuania as the two most prominent slavic civs. Russia because, its, well, big, and Poland for its prominent role in European history. It was once teh largest nation in Europe, played an important role in fighting off the mongols, created a unique form of...

Thing is, a lot of those are relatively insignificant. When people talk of one or two civs to represent that area, they aren't talking about an amalgamation of all of them, but rather, about the one or two most distinguihed/famed civs from that area.

Actually, terrace farming has been used just about everywhere almost. It should be a tech, not a wonder.

Slight correction: Romanian (or a very near facsimile thereof) is spoken in Moldova, so by your rules it isn't a slavic country.

Civilization IV, a new kind of micromanagement?

I admit, when i said teh shields were wasted, what I really intended to say was that they get spent on building "wealth". Since I never build that on purpose, to me, that is equivalent to "wasted". Sorry for the misunderstanding. The shields aren't utterly lost as such in my original model...
