    Airlifting

Can you airlift to an allies city? or can you only airlift to your own cities? I dont' use airlift much :)

    All about seige

Mostly, siege warfare is well-understood, but there are some things that don’t show up in the war academy articles (how flanking works) and some things I had to figure out on my own (Drill and how cannon, et al effect cities with castles) Several articles are used and referenced in this...

    Drill and collateral damage

How does the drill line work with collateral damage? Drill II-IV reduce CD by 20% for each one - does that mean that if you would get 5 points of CD but had Drill IV, you would only take 2 points? Or does it mean that the max damage you can get from collateral damage is reduced by 20%?

    Attacko's Greatest Hits

There isn't really a humor section to this area, and really, attacko is a creature of the strategy and tips forum. These are the attacko posts that I could find in 10 minutes of simple searching - for those who did not see them in their original... You don't have to necro them - just enjoy...

    Best GP National Epic city

If what you want is a lot of Great People, not necessarily a lot of GS, for instance... is it best to have a high-food city and run a lot of specialists? Or is it best to have a lot of hammers and build a bunch of wonders? Obviously, specialists give more GP points - but you run into growth...

    Super Medic Unit

What type of unit do you guys use for Super Medics? I am watching a HA rush video by AbsoluteZero and he uses axes, cause they become useful spear defenders and woody III potential. I, personally, use chariots - with the extra movement, they get even more movement. What do you guys use?

    Unbreakable peace treaties

How do these work? I know that if you give into a demand, the demander can't declare, but under what other circumstances is peace enforced by the game?

    Hermitage

Well, the Moai discusssion is interesting. There is another National Wonder that I honestly can rarely find a reason to build (unless I'm doing a cultural victory, of course), which the Hermitage. It's a disappointing wonder, because of that. Does anyone build it EXCEPT in a cultural...

    playing a protective Civ

I think protective gets a bit of a bad rap. While I agree that it's probably the weakest of the traits, SOMETHING has to be weakest. It gets 2 free promos to the cheapest units available (well, warriors and scouts are cheaper) and it gives 1/2 off to what may be the most powerful improvement...

Is the demo worth it to make a decision?

I'm asking for 2 reasons: 1) I'm debating buy Civ V 2) I don't know if it'll run on my machine (i get complaints about my graphics card with Civ IV)

Failure gold vs. overflow gold vs. wealth

I have to say, I should probably know how these things work in relation to each other, but I really don't. Wealth is a simple 1 hammer = 1 gold equation (obviously, hammers are multiplied by production bonuses) How is failure gold figured? if yoiu have 20 hammers in a wonder, how much gold...

    Moai

I did a quick search, but couldn't find any really good thoughts on what sort of city should get Moai, and I was wondering what you guys thought. Obviously, the biggest impact is on a 1 tile city, because then it can get a lot of production. On the other hand, it takes forever to build there...

can building harbors and custom houses HURT your research?

I've been wondering about this some - I've found that when I have a land-locked capital running bureaucracy and with Oxford, and several coastal cities, building a bunch of harbors and custom houses... the cap gets stuck with domestic routes. Now, some of the bases on those are pretty good...

    March

I've been thinking about the March promotion (can heal while moving, available to anything, requires medic 1 or combat III) I wonder if it is a reasonable way to go for early melee units for an aggressive civ, which starts with C1 - I figure that with a rax, you can start with medic I and pick...

    Cost of Fission

I just submitted a 490 AD Small Regent Diplo (getting back three #1 slots in the process), but I am kind of annoyed - it could have been a 440 AD, except I couldnt' buy Fission. Russia had it in a monopoly and 1700 gold + 800 gpt wasn't enough to get it... and, of course, I hadn't bothered...

Civ pride in elite or ancient units

One of the things that I've been thinking is that there is a lot of pride for military leaders for most nations - statues are built everywhere. And legendary units (101st Airborne, The Light Brigade, to be Anglo/American centric) have a hold on the imagination. I'm wondering if it would...

    Geronimo!

Figured we should talk about what to do with our (unexpected) GG. As I see it, we have 3 choices: 1) Settle him in IS (where we plan to build HE) 2) Attach him to a unit to make a super medic (either our woody III axe or our medic 1 axe) 3) Attach him to a unit to make a super attacker...

    PitBoss Game Replacement needed!

About a month ago, Viva started having computer problems and he hasn't been in 3 weeks or so. We need a replacement - we don't know for how long - I think we can assume for good. State of the game: Viva is Gandhi - he has Pyramids. AT is Carthage and has Stonehenge. Ronnie1 is Mongolia...
