I completely agree. The phalanx is outdated, and a marketplace and then a courthouse will make this city a good one, and allow us to get a decent foothold on the island and this area. Then we can worry about triremes and crusaders and such.

I don't know if "Rome, because it's visible" is such a great reason. This is a decision that will be implemented in the future, when we have an army ready to attack with, and it seems reasonable that by then we will know where England and the Zulus are (they must be close, we've contacted them)...

AoA's got the right idea. This city has the right natural resources for manufacturing parts for our war machine. A Barracks, then a bunch of Crusaders in a row gets my vote.

I agree with the Trireme. Besides, the vast unknown regions of the world beckon to our people. We can use the trireme to explore later.
