Yes, indeed. Here is the Defense's Opening statement.

My client, Mr. Jones, have been accused of assaulting the plaintiff, Miss Donald. When the prosecutor read the indictment, I saw the looks of horror on all of your faces. This is a despicable crime. What could be more terrible than brutally striking a woman? I just want you to know that this man, Mr. Jones, did not commit the crime. Mr. Jones is not guilty. In this trial, we shall prove that the defendant did not, in fact, commit the crime, but was a justifiable self-defense.
 
Before he assualted me that man kept texting me, calling me, and harrassing me on Facebook, when I confronted him we had an argument, he started picking things up and throwing them at me. When I said something that upset him he came up to me and punched me in the stomach, how is that self defense?
 
Objection, the witness will not speak until called upon.

Please follow the normal court procedure.

I don't care if you say your roles. :p In fact, I think that'd make it easier to keep up with.

Now that both sides have presented a basic review of information, it is time for the prosecution to begin their case.

I would have liked more activity, but at least all of you read your PMs.

This phase will last 48 hours. Zack will have the choice of interrogating witnesses Roseanne Williams (friend of the plaintiff), Naomi Silverman (another friend), Howard Nielson (friend of Mark's), and Eli Welsh (bartender). To be more clear, the roles designed to be interrogated by Zack are Roseanne and Naomi, but if Zack is clever enough, he can interrogate anyone.

Only Zack and the person he is currently talking to (with possibly some objections from Seon) as well as the judge may talk.

How can we ask a damn question if we know nothing about the witnesses?
 
Okay, I'll provide more information.

Roseanne has heard the whole story straight from Sylvia. She saw that Mark was stalking Sylvia. Roseanne also saw the bruise on Sylvia's stomach.

Naomi was there when Sylvia was assaulted.

Howard was there at the bar where Mark claims he and Sylvia met. Mark talked a lot to him about what happened.

Eli is the bartender where Mark and Sylvia allegedly met. Mark also confessed to him that he hit her.

If you need more information, please don't hesitate to ask.
 
(one more thing... I encourage roleplaying. I gave you all the information needed for this case. But, I want you to really get into character and be creative with your role. If someone asks you a question that you don't know the answer, just like in a real courtroom setting, say 'I don't know'.)

Ugh, one player doesn't pay attention and the whole game falls apart! I suppose we'll fix this in later versions of the game. I'll send him a prod. If he doesn't respond in 24 hours, landlubber's taking over.
 
Can you give us a list of players with their roles? That would help a lot.
