we have done an extensive check and found that only a few hundred thousand died. Madrid, obviously having the military leadership, plus the civilian leadership was hit hardest. the city lay in virtual ruin. over 400,000 is homeless. only the Emperor managed to get out in time...

all other military bases in interior Spain was either not close to the cities or just outside it. as a result there were only a few ten thousand each. there's nothing left of Gibraltar. good luck preventing cancer Maryland. we also thank them for blasting a huge amount of rock away. more suitable for building now :D

total estimated casualties ~ 500,000 at most, unknown amount in the coming years.

The capital was moved back to Madrid, seeing as it wasn't that heavily damaged, and Barcelona is at risk of invasion.

So yeah, I'm rebalancing the costs of WMDs since it took 12 updates and a long chat session yesterday to realize that despite the power of some, the prices are still out of whack relatively speaking.

Atomic Bombs are now 3 LP each (down from 5). Thermonukes are now 5 (down from 10) The X-Bomb is down to 15 (from 10)

First tier bioweapons now cost 20 LP. Second Tier, 50. Third Tier, 100. LP can be invested into building these weapons.

First Tier Chemical Weapons cost 1 LP for three. Second tier, 1 LP for two. Third tier, 1 LP for 1. They're cheap because they're per combat round (NOT combat round or battle) meaning if a 50 versus 50 army deal, using only three will only affect the results of THREE of the combat rounds).

The new costs will go into effective beginning of next turn. Thoughts?

well, that's bad news for Spain, who earlier promised not to build nukes. we're doomed.
 
Nukes aren't cost effective to build during wars. Well, maybe they are now... still, you can surrender.

I was under the impression Maryland and I were giving that to the USSR.
 
Give Maryland 10 lp for three turns, thats the best offer your going to get, if not we invade Madrid. Also I'll continue to occupy Gibraltar until the debt is payed.
 
this Deal will be subject to review. and we still need to hear from Egypt. to insure there's no incompatibility.

The USSR agrees on all points except number four. No punitive measures should be taken against Spain who are the defender in this war. If anything the aggressors should pay for the reconstruction of Spain.

Can we all agree to this partition?
