Should we send this brief message to Amazon?

Dear Amazonian friends,

We would like to build libraries in our cities on Anjennida to further improve our research. However, we are concerned about the impact of the additional culture on your cities. We are willing to provide you with Confucian missionaries to help offset our culture, but would like your thoughts on the matter.

I sent the following message to the entire ETTA:

Dear ETTA members:

A quick update to confirm our research plans. We have finished Constitution and we see Quatronia has completed Printing Press, while Amazon has obtained Guilds and Gunpowder from Merlot, and CDZ is working on Military Tradition.

It is our understanding that Quatronia will now research Chemistry while Amazon gets Banking. We cannot begin Replaceable Parts until Banking is available, so we will save cash to research to Rifling without delay after we obtain Banking.

Is our understanding of the current situation correct? How long does Amazon anticipate it will be before Banking is complete?

A brief research update:

We have completed research of Replaceable Parts, and then used Liberalism to unlock Steam Power to expand the alliances production capabilities. If you have not received these technologies yet, you should get them shortly. Additionally, we should discover Rifling in 3 or 4 turns.

Well were trading them a Marble city soon so that should solve that little problem.

Unless they don't want the Marble city, which seems entirely possible since it is much farther from their territory than Spot B.

Can we lend them the marble for 4 turns?

I find that interesting since I think the Marble city would be worth the distance and be more powerful then the Ivory Spot B.

I could have sworn we already lent them Marble for Versallies. But I think we can lend it to them in hopes of keeping their good will. I rather fight just Quat after Mav is done.

Sure... but we need marble, so no chances to give it away.

If they do not accept the cities change, is a choice of theirs. No exxhange, no marble. Simple.

I remember we lent marble, but i think it was their HE.

Speaking of NW, time to think also to the FP. I think Copper city (Aldebaran perhaps?) is the ideal site. After a forge and a library, of course.

While the marble is nice, it is a good distance from their other cities, making it harder to defend.

If we did not used cuirassiers, they were heading for that city. So they're interested on it. That stack was there for something or they just enjoyed the landscape?

That's ummm... not very diplomatic. :devil:

Recall that we have marble because Amazon did not capture the barb city where Rigel was because we asked them not to. If we asked them to wait while we built wonders, I think we should hold true to our word and lend them the marble. We at least need to try to maintain one good relationship until the end game.

Give them the marble for a few turns.

Well, yes. But if they captured the city themselves, they would not have to also give up Spot B which is what we are asking them to do.
