Metal Gear Mafia Game Thread

CivG it's probably time to reveal your role.
It's not going to make any difference because these people are steadfast on killing an innocent!

If you all want to know, I am Captain Quail. I have made mentioned earlyer that I was betrayed by the motherland after the end of the cold war!

Unvote, Vote: BSmith1068. The case on him is essentially the same as the one for CivGeneral, if you look at his posts. And this isn't normal behavior from him.

In what way is the case the same? I'm not sure what you were going for with those links, because as civplayah says, they don't work, but the case against CivGeneral as I see it is: he hops on a lot of bandwagons without reasoning, the kill of Camikaze would fit with him being mafia, and also some OMGUS votes I think. The second and third don't apply to BSmith, and as for the first, IIRC the only wagon BSmith was on that actually got someone killed was the Darth Caesar one.

Also, I don't know how BSmith normally plays because this is the first game I've been in with him, but I do know that DaveShack tends to lurk when he's scum. (see: NotW The Party, Takhisis kept calling him out on it) So I think it would be better for you to join my secondary bandwagon attempt than for me to join yours.

The CivGwagon has at least got him to say a bit more; a Davewagon could accomplish the same thing.

OOC: I went to a wedding on Friday, my kids had a friend each over for playdates yesterday, then one of the kids went to a sleepover and the others friend slept over here. It's been nonstop chaos. In fact one of them came to bug me as I was writing this.

Edit: I'm pretty much a vanilla, in terms of abilities. The only thing interesting matters only if I die.

I don't like the bandwagon but there isn't much information to go on. If a killer got roleblocked and the killer's target was Sprig, then it follows that CivGeneral is a suspect. Too many if's in that for my taste. Now if Sprig gets killed, we'll know what direction to look, and if CivGeneral gets lynched then we'll know for sure one way or the other -- and I start thinking Sprig if CivGeneral is innocent. Though I'm not sure on that, have to consult my list of people I have reason to believe are innocent...

Why are you trying to put me in the firing line? My innocence certainly does not hang on Civ G. I don't know way which way he goes but we ought to lynch scummy behavour. And he has, as I have pointed out several times acted quite scummy.

vote: Sprig. Not much to go on here, however, like already established, it could've been a frame.

Vote: Zack Well, you've been voting too much! :crazyeye:
Voting on somebody just because they voted for you is somewhat frowned upon in these games. So you might want to avoid that so you don't attract any unnecessary ill will.
Although I do remember a time when OMGUS voting was fair strategy here. Why the shift?

edit: xpost, you've already unvoted

And there isn't really anything about changing votes in and of itself.

Unvote, Vote: GamezRule

There's no real point in hopping your vote from one player with 0 vote, to another without a vote. You're not pressuring anybody with CivGeneral holding 5 votes. What are you trying to do?

Get quiet people talking. 3 for 3 so far. BSmith, DaveShack, and The Bake.

Hey, I think it adds to the theatrical feel, okay?

You don't have to listen to it.

The Colonel, hardly the most... "balanced" person at the best of times, had grown bored of wasting his own ammunition and effort in executing the suspects.

From now on, they would be executed by a firing squad of their peers.
The irony that the members of the squad could very easily find themselves in the victim's place tomorrow was seemingly lost on him.

Spoiler :
CivGeneral (5) - Romanichine, Takhisis, Sprig, choxorn, BSmith1068
Sprig (2) - CivGeneral, Snerk
DaveShack (1) - Catharsis
Takhisis (1) - GamezRule
GamezRule (1) - Zack

Not Voting: CivPlayah, DaveShack, Robbiecon, Jarrema, The Bake

CivGeneral was bound before the wall, as the men shouldered their standard issue AK-47's.
At the last, he cried out in what seemed to be broken German.

It was soon obvious that:
