So this was Romania, thought Yaroslav. Huh... not the land of vampires he'd been led to believe. In fact, the local barons had been quite friendly. He'd even negotiated deals with five of them to hand their provinces over to the Crimeans. All it had taken was a little... convincing, and a promise of a place for each of them on the Nobles' Council.
What a shame, mused the Czar, that the Council was powerless... and just a way to keep the old aristocracy happy. Under the rule of one of the people, descended from the people, Crimea was in much better hands. Libertarianism was the way of the future. But not for those who opposed him...
