I dunno how other GMs do it but when I try to tally I just go backwards in the thread, so once I get their last vote and put it down each subsequent vote I just look at my list and say "they already voted". Could vote/unvote 1 million times but shouldn't matter if I'm paying attention.

no, but this raises a good point I should say about deadlines in general--
people have abilities in both the day and night, so it would be dishonest of the GM to say "you have until X to send in the orders" then change that either way (extend or cut early). This includes day 1 and some people are still discussing how to use their abilities.
If updates are "late", the deadline for cutoff of orders/votes will be clearly notified to be as fair as possible to the players who did send in their orders on time.
I agree I probably should have made first day 48 hours, but some people did have some questions and I wanted to ensure I could try to answer all questions; all other days are 48 hours.

Begin Night the First
The living members of the game began the first day happily plundering dead Kennigit's body for many items. Almost nobody reached a clear consensus for any item, and it seemed everyone wanted to vote for someone different. Many questioned "what the hell is a caduceus?", and although some meek voices said they should look at their local library to figure out what it is, they were called nerds and that no one needed that book learnin'. They figured they would just get the item and figure out what it did. In the end, takhisis was given the ring, landlubber was granted the caduceus, choxorn received the box, and joecoolyo got the razor.
Night 1 ends in 24 hours and 30 minutes from timestamp of this post, at 10:00 EDT!
Please send in all night orders!
