Wars of Warcraft: Month 3
CRAFTING OF THE WINDRUNNER AMULETS. The Windrunner Amulets were crafted as a gift from Anasterian Sunstrider to the Windrunner sisters, Alleria and Sylvannas. They have been acknowledged as rewards for service in the ongoing Amani war against the troll tribe. As a tribute to their names, the new amulets help provide swift and rapid movement, as though through the air itself, while helping arrows strike truer and swifter to their targets. The amulets were magically crafted and are more powerful when working together, also allowing the sisters to communicate instantly and across great distances. The sisters have graciously accepted these gifts as they continue to fight the trolls throughout Amani territory, using the amulets to the greatest advantage possible.
THE HIGH ELF-AMANI WAR. Fighting has continued between the trolls of the Amani Tribe and the High Elves of Quel'Thalas, but it has greatly subsided since the great battle of last month. Both sides assumed a similar strategy by the other, and the main armies of both factions completely avoided each other. The elves sought to continue to strangle the lumber supplies of the trolls, advancing along the northern coast, and putting some pressure upon Zul'Aman itself. The Amani on the other hand, stealthily crossed the lakes around elven lines, and retook the lost lumber mill from last month, killing the few guards who had been left behind quite easily and with no losses of their own. The trolls have easily retaken the southwestern lumber mill, while unfortunately losing the rather lightly defended northern one to the elven invasion.
Casualty Lists
Quel'Thalas: 5 Rangers
TROLLS AND HUMANS CLASH IN EASTERN LORDAERON. A major battle has been fought in eastern Lordaeron as the human kingdom attempted to push out the invasion of the Amani and Vilebranch trolls. King Terenas himself led the army, along with fifty of his finest knights to strike at the heart of the enemy and drive them off of human lands. The trolls had a surprise up their sleeve, however, using the elements of nature to overwhelm the human mages and to cause roots to spring from the ground and tear the knights of their horses, forcing them to fight on foot. The troll berserkers also managed to infiltrate behind the lines, and the voodoo methods of the shamans soon led to even more confusion among the ranks. These dark magics were unopposed, with the human mages overwhelmed, finding their own elemental magic turned against them or worse, turned into elementals themselves, wrecking havoc among the rear of the human lines. This soon turned into a major victory on the battlefield, as the Amani shaman Alakzak demonstrated his prowess, having personally slain all five human mages present. The humans routed in front of the ferocity of Alakzak and his fellow shamans, sending them scurrying into the defensive fortification of Tyr's Hand and abandoning the eastern shore.
Casualty Lists
Amani Tribe: 20 Warriors, 30 Axe-Throwers, 1 Shaman(+1 Level for Alakzak)
Vilebranch Tribe: 20 Warriors, 30 Axe-Throwers, 2 Shamans
Lordaeron: 60 Warriors, 45 Archers, 20 Knights, 15 Clerics, 5 Mages (+1 Level for Terenas Menethil)
THE RISE OF ALAKZAK. During the recent battle east of Tyr's Hand, an Amani troll shaman demonstrated his great strength and ingenuity by personally slaying five human mages, by turning their own magic against them. This is the shaman Alakzak, a previously unnoteworthy shaman, who has served the troll Amani tribe for years, providing the services of a shamanistic witch doctor to his people. Alakzak has been noted as ferocious in battle, but kind to his own people, helping heal and protect them from the elements and larger powers of the world. In his youth, he provided ample support in the various border skirmishes with elves, and has only recently been called upon to fight the human kingdoms. He is known as one of the most honorable of trolls, while feared and hated by those who are unfortunate to be called his enemy, especially the elves.
THE CALL TO DAKRIN. In recent months, the mage Dakrin has been persistently lobbying the Kirin Tor to become a member of the current expedition to Stormwind to fight Medivh and the orcish Horde. Dakrin, is by almost all accounts, nothing special. He is just, Dakrin. Never the best, nor ever the worst, but there is one thing none of his peers may ever deny, he has a passion for the arcane, able to talk for hours on end of what new experiment or spell he has wrapped up within his mind. He was born the third son of a well-to-do Stormwindian noble couple. Discovering his abilities with an most unfortunate incident one of the prized family's goats, poor thing was scared endlessly by buckets for weeks upon end. With little need of him remaining at their Manor, and two more most unfortunate incidents, they sent him away to study in the halls of Dalaran. Fearful of what has become of his beloved family, Dakrin implored his masters for weeks upon end to send him. At last, they relented, sending him with fourteen other of Dalaran's mages, to participate in the ongoing expedition in the south.
STROMGARDE PUSHES THE WITHERBARK. The Army of Stromgarde has once more pushed against the Witherbark Tribe, only to find themselves defeated in battle. Outnumbered and without the support of mages, the Stromgardians were outmatched and outfought by the Witherbark trolls. Thoras Trollbane himself led the human army into troll territory, and led the knights in a valiant charge. The trolls defended themselves with the surprisingly simple tactic of raising an instant wall of solid stone from the earth in front of the charging knights. The wall was charged by the magic of the shamans of the Witherbark, and disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, throwing the knights from their horses, which ran into the wall at full speed. Soon after, the battle was engaged, with the knights eliminated from combat Thoras Trollbane himself was badly wounded, and with their leader fallen, the humans retreated from the battlefield. Mauled themselves, the trolls returned to their village to regenerate their wounds and prepare to defend themselves against further attacks.
Casualty Lists
Stromgarde: 60 Warriors, 10 Archers, 15 Knights (-1 Level for Thoras Trollbane)
Witherbark: 40 Warriors, 20 Axe-Throwers (+1 Level for Mai'jin)
DWARVES FORGE YET MORE ARTIFACTS. The dwarves of the Bronzebeard Clan have been hard at work yet again this month, crafting new artifacts of great power and renown. The Stalwart Rose is a powerful mace crafted by the greatest of dwarven military artisans, forging an aesthetically appealing war mace in the shape of a Loch Modan rose. The Stalwart Rose is unknown to be a powerful weapon, given as a gift to King Magni's brother Muradin, for his efforts in securing the southern frontiers of the dwarves. No known powers are said to be part of this weapon, despite is rare and unusual shape and origin. The Unyielding Starfall is odd among artifacts, a mortar cannon that was created to have a unique property in combat. Rather than firing single high explosive shells like most mortals and ranged artillery, this particular cannon splits the ammunition in air, bringing down a rain of metal upon the enemy. The weapon was built as a potential last resort device and now spends its time deep within the storage vaults of Ironforge.
GNOMES DESIGN NEW GUN. The gnomes of Gnomeregan have continued their unusual obsession with confusing and vaguely insane devices and contraptions, introducing a new invention to their arsenals this month. The new multi-barreled autogun features a number of rotating rifle barrels firing at a rapid pace, creating a wall of fired lead against any charging enemy force. The brutal slaughter which could be unleashed by this weapon could well be a major game changer in any battle, bringing massive firepower to bear against the enemies of the gnomes. The invention is highly reliable by gnome standards , as when it backfires it only kills the operator, rather than an entire battalion of soldiers, like the original models.
CONSTRUCTION OF THE THORIUM CITADEL. After their expulsion from Dark Iron lands by the Emperor Dargan Thaurissan, the Thorium Brotherhood had raided their cousins' homelands to collect supplies for a new endeavor. Combined with a new alliance and friendship with King Magni of the Bronzebeards, the Thorium Brotherhood have built a new fortress in the Badlands. This fortress acts as their capital in exile, as they prepare for the eventual liberation of their people from the Emperor's mad reign. This new fortress stands near Fort Bazjack and the army led by Muradin Bronzebeard, acting as yet another sentry for the Bronzebeard lands in the south. The new Thorium Citadel has also begun to act as a far south trading post for the Brotherhood, bringing new wealth. This was further expanded with the digging of a new mine in the Lethor Ravine, as new material riches bring greater strength to the Brotherhood.
HORDE BLOCKS DALARAN'S VISION. The efforts of Dalaran's mages to unveil the movements of the Horde last month were quite successful, creating a living map of the Horde in both Stormwind and Dalaran and providing vital new information to the Alliance. Aware of the penetration of their minds and clans, the Twilight's Hammer acted accordingly, casting a spell of their own to throw down the Dalarans vision and once more help conceal their movements. The spell was a resounding success, as the Twilight's Hammer warlocks successfully brought down the humans' vision spell, allowing their forces to move without being observed. The success has been instrumental in the ongoing battles of the month, what few of them do in fact remain for the moment.
STORMWIND BUILDS NEW STRONGHOLDS. As the situation seemed to be growing more dire with the fall of Fort Deadwind and the ongoing siege of Grand Hamlet, the army of the Alliance quickly saw that measures would have to be taken if any of Stormwind's kingdom would be held. To that end, two massive new fortresses have been constructed along the Nazferiti River, dominating the key approaches. To the east, across the river from the Eastvale Logging Camp, the new Fort Eastvale has been built, guarding the sole river crossing. Further west, most of the Nazferiti River rests under the watchful eyes of the new Goldshire Garrison, preventing a crossing into northern Elwynn from across the south river. With the armies pulling back from southern Elwynn and abandoning the towns of Raven Hill and Grand Hamlet, it seems that these new forts will serve as the key bulwarks of the remaining parts of the human kingdom.
KING LLANE ASSASSINATED. The Kingdom of Stormwind mourned this year when the noble King Llane Wrynn was killed in the war chambers of Stormwind Keep. The half-orc Garona, who had in the past, passed valuable information about the Horde to the Alliance, turned upon him, stabbing him in the heart, and then removing the organ. The vicious half orc woman then escaped from the Keep, without the guards even being aware of the murder until the following day when the King failed to emerge for breakfast. The death of King Llane has been a blow to the very heart of the human kingdom, as morale sinks to a new low and the human citizenry begin to lose hope as the overwhelming might of the Orcish Horde approach. For the time being Anduin Lothar has been appointed regent over the young King Varian, and will be his guardian as well as the leader of Stormwind's armies.
Stormwind: King Llane Wrynn dies.
Twilight's Hammer Clan: +1 Level for Garona
BATTLE OF EASTVALE FORT. The Frostwolf Clan was highly successful in its initial invasion of the Kingdom of Stormwind, razing the province of Redridge and its center town of Lakeshire. The advance has brought the Frostwolves burning and pillaging into northern Elwynn, as they sacked and razed the Eastvale Logging Camp and prepared to advance westward. They began an attempt to cross the north branch of the Nazferiti River, at the bridge just west of the old lumber mill. They met there an impressive new fortification staffed by the veterans of the battle in Redridge and the newly arrived Stromgarde Expeditionary force under Jacob Belle. The Frostwolves charged in headfirst, only to be pounded by ranged catapults and facing entrenched opposition. They were badly mauled and the unleashing of the human knights only served to push them back. The battle clearly went to the Alliance, as the orcs were forced to pull back once more across the river, with the bridge and the clan, in ruins. Durotan himself was badly wounded in the first charge, and had to be hauled back by his fellow raiders from the fight.
Casualty Lists
Frostwolf Clan: 100 Warriors, 50 Spearmen, 110 Raiders (-1 Level for Durotan; +150 Lumber)
Stormwind: 20 Warriors, 5 Archers, 5 Knights
Stromgarde: 40 Warriors, 10 Archers, 5 Knights (+1 Level for Jacob Belle)
THE RAID UPON KARAZHAN. As the Horde seemingly pulled back from the siege of Grand Hamlet and the battle lines adjusted, an elite group of the finest mages of Dalaran and the proudest warriors of Stromgarde and Stormwind launched a raid upon the tower of the powerful mage Medivh. Distracted by feeble attempts of the mages of Dalaran to probe his defenses and see what he was up to, Medivh missed the advance of the party at his very doorstep. When they entered, a great magical battle began between Medivh and Stormwind's and Dalaran's mages who accompanied the attack. The battle was vicious, as Medivh brought massive magics down upon Dalaran's finest, who found themselves individually far outmatched by the great mage, event as he was distracted by so many others, and perhaps even upon the verge of madness. Ultimately it proved to be steel, not magic, that won the day as Anduin Lothar, once the childhood friend of Medivh, drove his sword through the chest of his old comrade. With the fall of Medivh, the tower itself began crumbling around the mages, who quickly grabbed what they could and fled, and one mage from Dalaran even grabbed Medivh's own tome of spells. The raiders were unfortunate enough to encounter several patrols of orcs on their retreat, but had enough firepower remaining that they were able to push through the spells, though Danath Trollbane was badly injured in these skirmishes. They were eventually able to retreat back into friendly territory, but the expedition turned into a hollow remnant of what it once was. The death of Medivh was like a thunderclap across the magical world, being felt as far away as the high elven city of Silvermoon. To the Horde it has proven nearly crippling, as the death of Medivh seems to have greatly weakened the warlocks of the Horde, severing the connection and reliance of their abilities upon the Twisting Nether. (Warlocks no longer generate mana, -1 Level to Cho'gall)
Casualty Lists
Dalaran: 30 Mages (+2 Levels for Dakrin)
Stormwind: 5 Clerics, 2 Mages (+1 Level for Anduin Lothar)
Stromgarde: (-1 Level for Danath Trollbane)
Karazhan: Medivh
THE RETREAT FROM SOUTH ELWYNN. As the Frostwolf Clan were held back at the Battle of Eastvale, the main human army found itself frighteningly unaware of the Horde's movements. Thankfully, a miracle occurred as the Horde moved south to loot Roland's Claim Mine and created a break in any siege barrier. This provided a key opportunity not only for the raid upon Karazhan, but for a major movement of the main human army. The combined army thus fled north across the Nazferiti River, effectively ceding control of all of southern Elwynn to the Horde. The Horde, after overwhelming the pitiful guards at Roland's Claim, turned back north to renew the siege upon Grand Hamlet, only to find the main human army gone and only the militia remaining. The militia could not hope to put up the fight, barely able to defend the town walls, and Grand Hamlet was sacked, though it was empty but for a few stragglers as the Horde pillaged and burned it to the ground. Meanwhile, in the west, probing once more into Stormwind's lands, the trolls of the Gurubashi Tribe found no defenders, allowing them to raze Raven Hill and the nearby Twilight Glade Lumber Mill. The two sites' tiny militia were easily overrun and destroyed by the troll invaders.

FIGHT IN THE GURUBASHI ARENA. The trolls of the Bloodscalp and Gurubashi Tribes met this month at the Gurubashi Arena as hundreds of the trolls attended to witness a duel for power between the Gurubashi shaman Mandokir and the powerful Bloodscalp berserker, Gan'zulah. Cheering their favorite candidates, it was assumed that the mighty Gan'zulah would make short work of the shaman and that the Bloodscalps would triumph over the Gurubashi. However, the foul voodoo magics of Mandokir infused himself with the great power of the Loa of Tiger, Shirvallah. Granted with the power of a demigod, Mandokir ripped the berserker to shreds, leaving not even enough of his body to bury. Upon receiving the cheering crowds, a shadow was cast upon his moment, both figuratively and literally. A goblin zeppelin began dropping grenades down into the arena, slaughtering the crowd and sowing mass confusing, killing what warriors there were. Still possessed with the power of a demigod, Mandokir summoned forth great power, striking the zeppelin from the skies and slaying its crew and attached grenadiers entirely, while remaining unscathed himself. With the power of the Gurubashi and the Bloodscalp now behind him, Mandokir has sworn vengeance upon the goblins and their new settlement in Stranglethorn Vale.
Casualty Lists
Bloodscalp Tribe: Gan'zulah, 20 Warriors, 10 Axe-throwers
Gurubashi Tribe: 30 Warriors, 20 Axe-throwers (+1 Level for Mandokir)
Steamwheedle Cartel: 20 Grenadiers, 1 Zeppelin
GOBLINS RAID SKULLSPLITTERS. As the Bloodscalp and Gurubashi tribes began confronting each other in the arena, the Skullsplitter Tribe already began dealing with a new incursion into their territories. A goblin zeppelin began marauding their villages and various outposts, dropping grenades upon them and then landing and kidnapping troll civilians. The goblins have easily slaughtered the few guards they have encountered, but were warned off from attacking Jubuwal itself, due to the ambush they nearly fell into when they approached. Regardless, a substantial number of trolls were captured, and have since been transported back to Kezan, where they fetch a high price upon the slave market. So far the goblins have had no losses in this endeavor, easily brushing aside the few guards left at the smaller homesteads of Skullsplitter territory. (+100 Gold from slave sales)

@Brougal: I'm assuming because of the low amount of mana you're offering, that you want the spell to be a one-time thing. Please correct me if that's a wrong assumption so that I may give you the correct price. Also, all of your numbers for what you could spend were 100% wrong. The answer may be that the Thorium Point gold and lumber is already counted in your total, and is NOT in addition to the total. Therefore the access gold was taken out of mortar production, since you didn't have enough lumber anyways.
Zeletdude has been dropped from Gilneas due to inactivity.
@thomas.berubeg: the elven mage part of your orders was not confirmed in orders by bonefang, so it was not completed.
