[Small Mafia] Starcraft

An attacker was prepared to seek out his target wherever it fled. The victim, when he became alerted to the danger, began to speed away, but the chase was on.

Lacking firepower of his own, there wasn't much that could be done except try to run from the attacker. However, blasts of energy eventually chipped away at the victim's defensive shielding and struck his craft itself.

Buddhafish cringed as systems shut down. There was nothing he could do but brace for impact. It was little consolation that he wasn't bringing any passengers down with him as he fell to his doom.



Everyone else gathered in the morning, with grim expectations and continued urgency. Once again, a hardworking Protoss Probe had gathered 8 Minerals and 8 Vespene Gas. They are up for vote.

Any chance of some discussion this phase?

I don't. Voting you at least gives me the potential of a Zacktrum, my vote will quickly move in the event of someone actually posting something of substance, one of those case thingies other players sometimes make.

You know, I think I have outlined my case against you in pretty good detail. So far, I think the summary of your case against me is that “I must die” and that somehow I predicted the Warman vote and tried to get an alternative out there before there were even any votes against him. Care to give any more reasoning behind your vote?

As for other discussion, I think that the list of dead players bears closer review:

With 18 players at the start, and 6 players originally on the Terran team, I think it is safe to assume that each of the races have 6 players. Half of the Terran team is gone, yet none of them have been Mafia, but there have been Mafia in the other two races. It is highly likely that one of the three remaining Terran players is a scumbag.

I know I am not one, so that leaves one of Big Tin or JHT as our likely culprit. DaveShack, when he was around, didn’t post a lot, either in thread, or in our QT, so there is not much to go on. JHT has posted more in both places, and has not really stuck out to me. Of course he is a good enough player that he could still be scum, but I think we need to put our attention onto Big Tin.

Overall Big Tin has not really contributed much and looking through the thread the following exchange sticks out to me:

Big Tin makes an attempt at making an argument against someone, but when countered that he is doing the exact same thing, flinches and says he made a “mistake”. This combined with the amount of lurking he is doing leads me to believe that among the Terrans he is our man.

vote: Big Tin for now, but I think Zack still needs to go.

Ok first off, i accused martinluther of openly abstaining, not for not voting. I am no hippocrite (think i spelled that right). Secondly BSmith has just an equal chance to being scum, he provided no reason other than his word to make himself clear. And no this is not an omgus, just using the same logic bsmith used against me. And yes i missed an update, stuff happens. But not everyone who misses an update is scum. I think we should figure out who tried to attack Zack since that means 2 killers are on the loose. So for now Vote: BSmith for tge same logic.

After some back and forth accusations, the small number of beings left settled on a target that had to be eliminated.

The supposed victim actually had snuck away to set up a sniper's nest, and took the first shot at the group from a rocky outcropping. Without dealing sufficient damage to incapacitate anyone, he retreated and juked his way through the terrain. When the pursuers caught up to him, he turned invisble!

However, BigTin's stealth was not enough to evade the group forever. Eventually he would run out of energy. Patiently getting into position to cover all the ground necessary, several attackers waited. When BigTin uncloaked, he was blown apart by coordinated firepower.
