SGOTM 16 - U'nu'sual S'us'pec'ts

Awesome, makes up for the last Trireme. :)

The answer is NO to SB. We can get +4 fair trade by donating a tech, so we can afford to take a -1 refuse tribute.

edit, turn research rate to 100% and keep it there so we have no gold.

Just in case you guys didn't see. SB demanded. I feel like refusing, since we want astro. I'm really sorry. Probably should have not run binary since then we wouldn't have the gold. But then he might have just demanded a tech. The guys kind of a prick. Also, he can't reach us for aaaaages since he has no boats.

Hammurabi, that is great news, as he loves Beauro. :goodjob:

And that is great news that he is willing to trade Construction!! Glad we didn;t target Music!

Have you sold Lit to Ramesses yet?

Not sure if the 10 turns have passed since Ramesses & Brennus got peace, but keep checking to see if Brennus can be bribed into war with Ramesses. (edit: don't do it though obviously, just see if its possible and how much it might cost)

Hmm..trading for construction. That's great! And the mapmaker was indeed cruel by changing his bowmen to archers

Don't trade just yet, as there is no rush.

Wait for Astro, and we can then assess what trades we can do.

And QIN, yay, he loves Beuro too.

The round went almost exactly as planned. We managed to perfectly time meeting the AIs and finishing Astronomy. The tech pace looks good. The neighbors look reasonable. We're about to start a war. Brennus settled a new city in Clams' face. We're a turn away from a Great Person. And things are getting super exciting!

The only things that happened in the round:

Spoiler :

And despite those being the only things it still took nearly three hours!

The tech situation with the slider at 100%

The cities:

Should I leave the xbows in the queue for a revolt into wartime civics. Or should we produce some units with only 3xp?

Diplo Situation:

Trade opportunities as follows:

So it doesn't look like we have to be too worried about the other continent being behind! Indeed Qin looks to be in a pretty good place. Although we should soon catch him up.

Cool.

Hammurrabi & Qin both have 10 cities, SB & Saladin have 8. So, there are 36 TR's to be had. Any city that has a harbor will get minimum +4, otherwise it will be +3.

The only relationship problem over there is that Saladin hates Hammu. I still think we should butter Saladin up with a tech, then OB with him. Do him first.

Then repeat with all other AI.

Saladin will no doubt make demands that we stop trading, the answer will always be NO.

edit: Qin has CS & Philo!!!!!

edit2: I have to do some work now, but we look great, and Brennus has neither MC or Monarchy yet... woot. He will have HA's, but a few spears will protect our stacks.
