Mafia Hosting Queue 3

My SUPER SECRET game has been unveiled!

The League of EEEEEVIL!!!

Host: choxorn
Type of Game: Large
Number of Players: No Set Number, Aiming for at least 30
First time host: No
Progress: Depends on what people want.

Like Chaotix's Council of Villains or Kennigit's Archetype Mafia, the Bad Guys are the Town and the Good Guys are the Mafia. In this case, the Bad Guys, known as the League of EEEEEVIL!!! are a bunch of Cartoon Villains, and the Good Guys who don't have a name as cool as the League of EEEEEVIL!!! are Cartoon Heroes, trying to stop the Bad Guys from TAKING OVER SOME PART OF THE WORLD!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I loved your mini Notw - that was awesome!

Type of Game: Small, although I would still insist on previously campaigned-but-never-supported for "medium" size.
Number of Players: 20. Though I still campaign for a medium category to exist that has the same hosting limitations as a small game. I don't think Large categorization should kick in until 25+ :p

There has been a resurgence of mafia activity recently (and certainly for me, as I am currently in a good mafia mood after having a bit of a break). As such I would like to design another game.

All the games I have previously designed have been passion projects to some extent (archetype mafia and smurf mafia), but the stipulations of this game would have:
1) no conversions
2) no false masons/unpartnered groups edit on phone--ive never had false masons but have played with multifaction mechanics
3) no more than any class-tied items, like 2-3 total. By that I mean, I am considering a game where there would be a player's choice of 3-5 classes,, let's say for sake of argument swordsman, archer, axeman, horseman. Only archers and horsemen could use bows, and swordsmen and axemen could use melee weaponry (sword and axe, to make 3 total weapons). Simple items that could be used by someone else, but nothing consumable. Possibly an upgrade system (eg if successfully protect someone as an axemen, gain +STR. Where +STR would help you protect someone in the future, and only a sword can be used for protection).
4) some player inputs on character creation

I have been enjoying some "select your own hero" games that range from entire character creation to choosing just what class you are (eg Create yer/your own hero, NOTW dalakim, atto ngoogol, the termite mafia game/pick your poisons). I would love to play around with some simple mechanics that could entail.

I would keep things relatively simple just as the above (3) stipulates. I have enjoyed getting complicated in the creation process but will limit myself, for the sake of (a) making hosting easier and (b) appealing to wider player base (c) I don't have the boredom or passion to kill time designing it

5) No, or at least very few, abilities that rely on random.org - this was the biggest flaw of Archetype Mafia imo, that it was fairly luck-based.

Yeah I already did that lesson to smurf iirc and will to all remaining games

Soul Scourge

Host: Kennigit
Type of Game: Small.
Number of Players: 16-20
First time host: No
Progress: 100% conceptually, 30% details

Chose what I'd do trying to sleep/being forced to be awake by a fire alarm last night. I would have the audacity to call it "Soul Scourge I" but I won't.

Pick class of Swordsman, Spearman, Bowman, or wizard (may be called Mageman), each have different ATK/DEF stat. For townies, only Swordman/Bowman can attack, only spearman/bowman can defend. Wizards modify their target's stats (+ or -). Scum team of 3-4 demons/soul scourge get stats based on class composition of town. Lynch is plurality to kill. If total ATK>total DEF on a target at night, target dies. Demons involved in a kill choose 1 demon to gain the stats of the person they killed.

no other variables, set up fully known in sign up thread.
Spoiler fluff :

debated whether I should have done like pick your poison where there is a draft order (say, 3 slots of each class, and if you choose a class that is "full" you become a peasant) since I fear there will be like 19 swordsmen and townies will kill each other (or rather, all fail to because they will individually send in orders to "Attack X" and not coordinate with others), but I want to give everyone a choice. Also a little easier for scum to lie about whatever they want.

Future variants would be based on the idea that the demons/soul scourge gain something unique when eating a class for the first time; original thought would be more ability based but that's harder to make

(late edit)--oh yeah forgot in smurf mafia the mafia did have a choice of what they wanted, townies didn't though.

“The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” continues the adventure of Bilbo Baggins as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, on an epic quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain and the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor. Having survived the beginning of their unexpected journey, the Company continues East, encountering along the way the skin-changer Beorn and a swarm of giant Spiders in the treacherous forest of Mirkwood. After escaping when captured by the dangerous Wood-elves, the Dwarves journey to Lake-town, and finally to the Lonely Mountain itself, where they must face the greatest danger of all — a creature more terrifying than any other; one which will test not only the depth of their courage but the limits of their friendship and the wisdom of the journey itself — the Dragon Smaug.''

Nooo… don't waste themed roles on a clue game.

Getting very bored lately ever since my character was killed in choxorn's game. Would be nice if a new game started up.

Rob is unable to host his game, I'll PM the next person on the list.
Jarrema is hosting a game at the .org, and I don't have enough time to host a game this semester. Sprig is after Jarrema, and KingMorgan has expressed a desire to open sign-ups for his game soon, so you should probably ask them.
