Mass Effect [Game Thread - Concluded]

auto: mat93 (13)
Bsmith:edse (7)
Daird: first Jarrema, then redspy (12, 22)
e350: redspy (17)

mechaerik is my primary suspect. He's been bandwagoning late every day except for yesterday, when he placed a late vote away from the wagon, which feels to me like an attempt to change things up.

Spaceman would be my other major suspect for similar reasons.

In terms of overall thoughts, I think Jarrema has proven his ability and is clean. Winston doesn't feel like scum to me either.

I'll look things over again in the morning and take it from there.

I'm going to continue my crusade from yesterday on e350tb. His votes for Red Spy and Takhisis were easy bandwagon votes that would be perfect for not drawing attention to himself if he is scum. After some early suspicion on him he seems to be trying to run under the radar.

In the latter case, I was acting on a case that had been argued fairly effectively, even if it was, ultimately, wrong.

You, on the other hand, could well be deflecting suspicion from yourself. Therefore, I'm going to vote for Frozen In Ice.

I find it somewhat interesting that you are voting to save Frozen from the plant, only to lynch him later....

A Fat Ghost:I goaded ATPG to back up his claim by killing me, and he did. Turns out those Big Boy Pants were just pants for a big boy, but that doesn't matter. I was a plain vanilla townie and hopefully this gave the town some info. With 3 kills last night I think that proves that ATPG is not mafia. I don't know if he's Shepard, but he is either a Vig or controls a Vig.

If we go back to the last vote, we'll see it ran over the deadline:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=13224027&postcount=256

The final tally was done in this post (retroactively)
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=13223420&postcount=247

The top contenders were:
Red Spy - 5 votes
ATPG, Edse, and Mat93 all tied with 3 votes.

We had two last second voters: Mat93 (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=13223675&postcount=252) and mechaerik (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=13223782&postcount=253)

They both tried to bandwagon Edse to get him up to a tie for first, in the process saving ATPG and Mat93. If we believe ATPG is Shepard, that leaves Mat93 as scum and mechaerik as his partner. Lynch one of them and put the other in 2nd place.

If Mat93 turns up as scum, then think hard about Jarema for tonight's vig or tomorrow's lynch. His role smells fishy and he announced he would be targeting Mat93 tonight for damage enhancement (knowing he would not be targeted by mafia).

Kill the pig. Cut his throat. Bash him in. Spill his blood!

We're on me again then?

Thoughts based on day 3: mech's late vote on edse seems like an effort to help insure that mat93 doesn't take damage.

I've addressed this before. I don't think I had actually noticed mat93's vote because I distinctly remember thinking I had the tiebreaking vote for second and placing it on who I felt was the most scummy at the time (edse). And as someone else pointed out the first time this was mentioned, risking outting myself in order to ensure that mat took marginally less damage is not exactly a brilliant move.

mechaerik is my primary suspect. He's been bandwagoning late every day except for yesterday, when he placed a late vote away from the wagon, which feels to me like an attempt to change things up.

Regarding the late vote, its because I like to vote after cases have been made so that I can try and make a more informed vote. Yesterday's different vote was made after the Takhisis case because it made me go back and look at posting records. Initially my suspicion was on you and e350tb because I thought you were the least active, but then I noticed that TaliZorah was still in the Alive section. Nonetheless, it did serve to flush out TaliZorah so it did do some good.

I find it somewhat interesting that you are voting to save Frozen from the plant, only to lynch him later....

Well, Frozen isn't the only Thorian victim. The easier way to interpret it would be an attempt to save TaliZorah.

Err, I don't get it?

Anyways, I'm going to vote e350tb and I don't think its prudent to save them.

That's going to require some explanation, I feel.
Its not exactly easy to remove someone from the Thorian's influence. As far as I'm aware, the only real way to do that would be to kill the Thorian itself. The Thorian Two and any other thralls are not going to like that, and I think there may be also be large casualties if we go that route. In addition, being enthralled hardly clears the thralls.

He's voting for me, so I am returning the favour. Doesn't mean I want Tali'Zorah dead too.

e350tb and Winston Hughes are a scum duo IMHO. Lynch them. My ghotly fish fingers of suspicion point at them from beyond the grave.

e350tb mechaerik

I've been swayed by Autolycus's case against him, so I think lynching him should take priority over e350tb.

Visorslash has replaced MartinLuther, KingMorgan has replaced SouthernKing, and Takhisis has replaced Mat93. Effective after the Day 6 update.

FEROS

mechaerik was lynched!

Frozen In Ice and TaliZorah were both saved from the Thorian, but Autolycus unfortunately died in the process.

It is now Night Six.

Hopefully I don't get killed immediately this time around. In the event that I do however, I'll try my best in an attempt to get as much done as possible before my eventual demise.

First of all, we are probably at lylo next day. Mafia get two kills per night, if its 4 mafia, we are probably screwed so I am going to assume 3 mafia for the time being.

Now, I'm going to examine the candidates that weren't replaced, BSmith, e350tb, Jarrema, spaceman, TaliZorah and Winston. Hopefully out of those the mafia lie and we can nail them, and bring this travesty of a town performance to a satisfactory conclusion.

BSmith:
I really need to stop giving BSmith passes in games for low activity, so I'm just going to straight out call him scum. He has posted 9 times, of which maybe 8 can be considered on the game. Lurking is his scum meta, and has been quite consistent with him. He has done no analysis and no real hard work in this game, completely unlike his townie self. He is scum No. 1.

Next, e350tb. I don't know how new to mafia e350tb is, but he has made himself look like quite the scumbag so far with what I have read. He is reluctant to vote, votes someone for voting him recently (On day 6 of all days), he doesn't make any cases himself, follows what others have put down before him, and doesn't rock the boat. All standard scum tricks IMO. Of course a lot of CFC townies are pretty lazy, but they generally are not this form of lazy. Its a more innocent kind. In any case, he is my prime pick for scum No. 2.

Oh. Just realised I can't edit. Sorry folks. I was just adding to the posts rather then making a new one. I'll change that.

Tali Zorah: Has been rather inactive, and only thing to note was his consistent voting of Jarrema. Whilst not exactly inspiring confidence, I will give him a pass for now.

I like Winston so far, definitely miles ahead of the others so far in terms of townieness, he has done some questioning, some attacking voting. However, it is quite surprising he is still alive, the mafia seemed to love strangling discussion, and he is quite possibly bussing BSmith. Goes to show how poor the townie act has been this game, myself included. I'll do some rereading of Immortals 1 to get a sense of how he played and what ticked me off.

I really want to lynch Jarrema, but I'll hold for now. His powers can make sense as either faction. I don't agree with some of the things he's posted (lynching inactives is bad this late in the game), but I will give him a pass for now, grudgingly.

Spaceman is in the middle somewhere as well, but I'll put him on the scum side of things for now, he doesn't seem like his townie spaceman self at the moment.

For everyone left in the game, please put your top three scum leans in order in the thread so I can understand where you stand and so we can try to bring this game back from the dead.

Mine are currently:
1. BSmith
2. e350tb
3. Spaceman

BSmith is a probable must lynch, though now that I think more, Winston is sliding up.
