NotW LIV - The Masque of Death

It's really getting interesting!

In related news, there's something I need to do in fifteen minutes, so I'm going to postpone the update for an hour. Please talk amongst yourselves until then. :)

Day Four ends: [TIMER=5/19/2015 10:45 PM GMT+1; Day Four over][/TIMER]

Feels like I'm coming down with a flu so I haven't been very active today. But I am following the thread.
Like I've already mentioned, Visor is a bad lynch because of reasons. Auto is IMO one of several scum candidates. But if we can get a late Tak wagon rolling I'd rather toss my hat in that ring.

unvote;vote: Takhisis

I'm not liking this. While BL is cleared, Snerk jumping in last minute after been off wagon all day makes me uneasy especially considering my prior suspicions.

Voting over. Update in progress.

Day Four

Takhisis: Backwards Logic, Snerk, Winston Hughes, Legato Endless (5)
Autolycus: Newyn, Visorslash (2)
Visorslash: Takhisis (1)
Newyn: Autolycus (1)

The fourth day was was a day of ups and downs, (often multiply) changed minds and a variety of commendations and condemnations. For much of the day, it seemed that the guests wished to see Autolycus pay for the Awnshegh's crimes, but as the evening drew on, the guests turned on Takhisis with surprising speed and Autolycus's supposed guilt was rather ignored. Takhisis was cornered by the guards and his end came all too soon.

Takhisis has died!

Choxorn was buried that day. He was the Hierophant.

Spoiler loyalty :
He was a Loyalist!

Finally, a servant stumbled across a dark blue mask, torn and useless, abandoned in a hallway in the guest wing. The Indigo Mask has been broken!

Night Four ends: [TIMER=5/21/2015 12:00 AM GMT+1; Night Four over][/TIMER]

I have set the timer for 24 hours from now. If people would prefer the night to end earlier (around 6 pm) instead, feel free to PM me or post in-thread.

Day-phase PMs are now going out.

Given that I've had precisely zero requests for a short night, the timer above will remain in effect and will expire in seven hours' time.

Night Four

For the first time this week, the night was quiet and without incident. In fact, the only thing of interest was Takhisis' burial. He was the Noble.

Spoiler loyalty :
He was a Loyalist!

Takhisis' Silver Mask was donated to the guests by the priests of mourning before his burial, so it is up for the vote until midday (11 pm BST on Thursday). You may own multiple masks, but you can only wear one at a time.

Day Five ends: [TIMER=5/22/2015 10:00 PM GMT+1; Day Five over][/TIMER]

Vote: Snerk. I still have him and Autolycus as my scum team and nothing yesterday changed my mind on that.

Visorslash also cannot be scum. That was the last of my 3 day scans used up so I'm essentially a vanilla villager now although I will know who targets me at night once I switch to the Shadow Mask.

Nice try, Newyn.

I'm a roleblocker with the caveat that if I block someone who is a magic user, I lose the roleblock for the next night. During the day, I scan for potential magic users as to not blindly hit magic users and screw my blocks up. After scanning you as a magic user during the day yesterday, I blocked you last night. After all, our Awnshegh killer has been using black lightening to kill his victims.

I scanned Legato as someone who may or may not be a magic user on day one and blocked him the first night. I find this very suspicious - my scan strongly implies this is a yes or no result.
Since I equipped the Dragon Mask on Day two I lost the scan, so I roleblocked Legato the second night as well.
I scanned Visorslash as a non-magic user on day three and subsequently blocked him that night. That's how I know he's not Awnshegh.
Newyn out of the blue claims to clear me which raised an eyebrow on my end. So I scanned you yesterday as a user of magic and blocked you that night. And look: no kill.

Die traitor.

BL, if I hadn't scanned you as good, I'd say you were scum. I'd think at least half the players are magic users considering the role list and the fact that we all have both a combat and magic score.
Night 3 - the narration clearly says Awnshegh used a sword so he's clearly a combination of both.
Also, I've received no message about getting blocked last night but then again, as I said, my scans occur during the day so you were blocking me from doing nothing.

Legato, Newyn?

Newyn

My analysis, because I'm definitely getting killed tonight:

Can't be Autolycus, as he also tried to put Newyn in the lead that day after day had been extended.

Couldn't be Visorslash, as was also apart of the Newyn flips back and forth though finished by not taking a stance and voting Takhisis at the end. However, when the day was originally supposed to end, had his vote on Newyn.

Could be Snerk, but Visor, I have to know what the Sable mask does/did to know for sure. Specifically if the mask enabled KM to be a vengeful lynchee or if it did anything other than that. Voted Spaceman at the last second on the original day two end time to tie vote with Newyn, so that's a black mark. Newyn's vote here on Snerk is interesting - he's either bussing (doubtful, he'd be the solo guy left after he got roleblocked the previous night) or he's trying to buy another lynch with his fake seer claims.

Split on Legato, slight lean to scum. I don't have a whole lot to go on here. On one hand during day four, he had an opportunity to vote either me or Visor to put one of us in the lead (we were tied at 2 each), but instead voted Autolycus to tie him with us. If he's scum, I'd expect him to try and distance someone from the pack (even something as subtle as a 3-2 vote margin) as opposed to voting another townie into second place. That said, I could see a scum player doing just that by putting another townie in the crosshairs, since no other scum player was under threat. If he's scum, I'd also expect to see at least a handful of mask votes to Newyn. In fact, we see hardly any mask votes at all. The rest of his votes consist of either voting the obvious target (D2: Spaceman and D4: Takhisis) or not committing (D1: Bladescape). The most interesting vote of all is the D3 late run made on Autolycus in an attempt to save townie Coyosis, but I have no idea what to make of this. Feels townie, but I could see scum doing this to look townie.:crazyeye: All in all, he's been very careful not to look scummy. Too careful in my view.

Possibly Winston Hughes. Day One, tied the KM lynch by unvoting choxorn and voting Snerk. Granted, the votes totals in question are 2-2, but still the point stands. On Day two, while apart of the Newyn/spaceman flip-flop-a-thon, his last vote broke the tie by flipping off of spaceman and onto Newyn, resulting in a 5-3 Newyn lynch. However, before the original deadline had Newyn in the lead before Snerk's vote tied it. Newyn claims Winston during day three as most likely to be town (exact words are 'closest I have to lock town.') Plus comes back and explains his reasoning with how he voted on day two. Only mask connections consist of the day four voting of the Ornate and Shadow masks to each other.

My personal Scum'o Meter (TM); patent pending, with 10 being a lock for scum to 1 being a lock for townie and 5 being split in the middle:

Newyn: 10
Winston: 7
Legato: 6
Snerk: 3.5
Visorslash: 2
Autolycus: 2

@ Newyn, who posted during this monstrosity. The sword in day three is Sprig's own sword. It's death by magic, as Awnshegh uses his own sword against him. Plus Sprig was a Knight, so... yea.

Like Sprig before him, Choxorn spent most of the night praying before an altar to the Pantheon, this time in the company of a fellow guest. However, not long after he said his final benedictions and had left to return his chamber, the Awnshegh sirprised him in the corridor, not with black lightning this time, but with a heavy blade, well-honed and hungry for blood. Choxorn reached into his robes for his mace and managed to hold off his assailant for a few short moments, but the armoured warrior was a better fighter and was seemingly not fatigued as Choxorn was, after spending a long night in devotion to the Gods.

As blood ran into his eyes, Choxorn's mace slipped from his sweaty grip and he ducked for cover from his assailant's attackers, but blow after blow rained down upon his unarmoured body, until he lapsed into a darkness from which he did not awake. The Awnshegh left the battered and bleeding corpse in the corridor as a stark reminder of the Traitor's power.

Choxorn has died!

0 mention of use of magic...

If you're going to lynch the one true scanner in the game after he cleared you, at least make sure you got your information right.
