North Korean Invasion?

No deals with North Korea.

Give them an ultimatum. Either they give up the nukes and start dismantling the government, or we blow up one Kim Palace each week until he gives in.
Sounds good to me. Seriously. :nuke:

Oh, right, the "it's not really communism" supposed "argument."

Oh, right. I forgot that capitalists are the only ones that understand what communism really is...

...We can also wonder if South Koreans, this brand new rich country, is really ready to bear alone the weight of a reunification, which would be undoubtfully painful.
AFAIK a peaceful reunification on South Korea's terms (meaning Kim's regime imploded) is regarded with as much horror by the South Koreans as a full North Korean invasion, IF it happens today. Due to the huge imbalance between their income levels and living standards, a reunification today will result in a flood of refugees and such southwards, resulting in terrible disruption of the South Korean economy. What South Korea wants is to build up somewhat living standards in the North first.

As for China's POV, of course a divided Korea is better than anything else...

Incidentally, just learned that NK is emulating China, and has set aside a city (forgot the name) as an SEZ. Says it will even contain a casino. Wonder if said SEZ will be open for American investment? Seeing as they paint the US as "the enemy" everyday?

On the contrary, the Republicans seek to remake the world in the American image, the Democrats seek to remake the world in Europe's image. :p

Democrats seek to let the world progress on its own and have us not interefer with their natural progretion towards democracy because that will probably postpone their democracy, but Republicans (at least neo-cons) seek to remake the world for America.

I hope you enjoy smoking craters because that's what Edmonton and scores of other cities will become if North Korea is attacked.

There is no oil in North Korea.

They at most only have 1 or 2 nukes and can't reach that far.

1. It's not really known what their nuclear and ballistic capabilities are.
2. They have a very powerful artillery that can cause very serious damage to Seoul, which is a metropolis of over 20 million people, without even using their nukes.
