Warlords Patch 2.13 Released!

Not sure if it was in the changelong or not, but any idea if this patch fixes the infamous MAF (Memory Allocation Failure) problems?

I was about to format my computer as I thought it was all my system that was going crazy.

I had the dll problem too, dragged it on my windows/systems and I am currently experiencing the libraries shader as well.

Windows XP here.

Sorry, it doesnt.. adding that fix would have made the game unable to open older files, and I dont think they wanted that..
 
Bummer...

Every mod game I run, down to even running simply large maps with the graphics turned down ends in a MAF failure before I reach the modern age, so I guess I'm waiting for BTS still...

And then I'll be waiting for our modding community to get the best mods moved over to BTS. Of course with the MAF fix in BTS, it's pretty much a lock that they'll all get ported over eventually...

Patience. That's what's needed now... :lol:

Vassal States
- No longer possible to receive a request from an AI to declare war on one of his vassals (!)
- Vassals can no longer accept one-sided defensive pacts (!)
- Fixed happiness from vassal issue
- You can now airlift into cities of your vassal
- You don't pay supply costs for units inside your vassal's borders
- Can no longer ask someone to make peace with a vassal. Talk to the master directly.
- Vassal AI improvement
- When you declare war on a vassal, you also declare war on the master (instead of the master declaring war on you)
- Vassal AI no longer makes *all* their gold available for trade.
- Vassal AI never refuse to talk to their master
- AI better considers war consequences of accepting a vassal
- Vassals no longer freed when master forms a permanent alliance
- Fixes the vassal/defensive pact exploit
- Master/Vassal AI attitude reflects the implicit defensive pact of a vassal agreement.
- Master/Vassal AI no longer give each other negative attitude modifiers for close borders.
- Vassal AI does not get upset because of Master's defensive pacts with third parties.
- Vassal cannot own plots within the city radius of his master's cities unless those plots are closer to his own cities.
- If you have a peace treaty in effect with someone, you can no longer declare war on their vassals either.
- Adjusted negative AI attitude for having vassals
- AI no longer refuses to become a vassal because of "your lands too far" when you are actually neighbors

Great Generals
- When a generic Great General is attached to a unit, the unit is no longer given a TXT_KEY name
- Great Generals experience threshold scales with the ratio of Great People threshold to unit production rate
- (so the threshold is the same at all speeds except Marathon where they require 1.5 time more experience)

Multiplayer
- Anonymous play: real player names revealed on game end
- Fix for anonymous mode not being always anonymous
- Fixed some more anonymous play issues
- You can no longer see other player's names in the staging screen for loading a save
- You no longer see the player ID for "waiting to hear from..."
- Fixed selection issue in simultaneous MP for recently-moved units
- Now possible to join a Pitboss game where only AI are left
- Fixed Pitboss not-ready-to-launch bug
- Pitboss no longer crashes when launching as players are joining
- Pitboss no longer crashes when large amounts of text are spammed into the chat box
- Don't allow launching the game with players still in the civ selection screen
- Fixed MP crash when player is eliminated with the trade screen up and performs a trade

Interface
- Combat odds greater than 99.9% are displayed as such (not rounded to 100%)

- Active resource deals (1 of X) display the correct number for X
- Diplomacy screen: leader attitude once again shown at the top
- Regenerating the map resets the statistics in the Info screen
- Plot indicator rotation no longer gives away your location on the map (north-south hemisphere)

- Mission queue is no longer cleared after the selection group has used up all its movement from a previous mission

tried 2 times. 2 times, I uninstalled the whole game, reinstalled civ vanilla, patched it, then installed warlord. Tried without the new patch, it works. Try now with the patch, it doesn't.

Still having shader libraries... if someone has a way to solve that, please tell me.

Never had a probleme with civ in the past.

I had the same problems with the missing .DLL and afterwards with the Shader library errors.

I tried the 1st Direct X update and it didn't work, but Gyathaar's immediately above mine worked and finally I'm in.

Whew! What a mess.

Yup, all I did was reinstall Civ IV and Warlords, patched Civ IV to current then Warlords, downloaded the new DirectX files, installed those, and without even restarting the PC it works flawlessly so far (even while running browsers, IMs, and other programs).

Hope it works for the rest of you too :)
 
I installed just fine my boyfriend is having trouble. He's running Vista and the patch will dl but it won't start installing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Nevermind figured it out.
 
When I enter my Username and password to play internet MP, the entire CPU stalls. I mean, no amount of CTL-ALT-DEL or Windows Key, etc. allows me to escape the stall.

All I wanted to do was build 20 catapults in a team game tonight and this has thwarted me. HELP? Or just cool ,y heels and hope MP for BTS works...
 
Got the patch through warlords 'Check For Updates' however, when I try to run the exe, it fails displaying a msgbox:

"The setup has detected that no version of Sid Meier's Civilization 4 - Warlords is installed. This update requires that a previous version of the application be installed."

I have a version of warlords (nilla is from my retail cd install) that was downloaded from Direct2Drive. They aren't showing that there is a patch yet. The 'miscommuniction' that Alexman spoke up really screwed up my plans for the weekend.

Please fix... must...have...civ...
 
Hi Im having problems installing the patch. It downloads ok and stuff but i get an error that says civ4 is not installed when it is. I installed it on either of my drives and no luck. All pevious patches work. I have vista (only cause i wanted directx 10 for company of heroes) I got mine civ 4 game from steam and i would think the in game patcher works and so would steam but steam hasnt updated yet lol yeah i am kinda impatient. Any ideas?
 
I just checked and its set to always update i dunno i would find it weird that the patch is not working for me but ill give valve a day or two to get it updated on steam since 2kgames probably didnt tell them nothing about it.
