We regret that matters have come to this, but there was no alternative. The instability on the African continent risked cause an imbalance that certain rogue opportunistic factions could easily have taken advantage of, had we allowed to let the situation escalate. The issue of where the blame lies for the African instabilities is irrelevant in the face of the greater threat to the world community. China has together with their European allies taken the hard, but necessary, steps to ensure that Africa does not risk being overrun by barbaric forces.

Cease your trade with us if you so dearly desire it. You would lose more than we would.

{ Why am I listed as not trading with SSSR? And why are not SSSR and Europe trading in either direction? }

I don't intend to cut trade with anyone, although I think you would probably lose more then me, what with the vassalage of the USSR.

Kol.7, you know exactly why I attacked Quebec. Should I show your "ally" the messages you sent me?

(Tasslehoff what do the red dots mean?)

Yes do so, I wanted you to provoke him into a war, so he could ground you into the dirt, its always better to have a reason to go to war other then just plain old greed, the world is watching you know. I wasn't expecting him to attack this turn. Must have been a misunderstanding on his part. I suggest you refrain from attempting to blackmail me in future.

*Clears Throat*

Alright I have several pm's from Kol.7 warning me of Quebec's attack so I wouldn't attack him:

What is your stance on the Invasion of South America? A war against me would be incredibly stupid, you would lose (AFAIK) your most profitable trade partner and a powerful ally and would instead gain a powerful, extremely angry enemy. I strongly suggest you stay out of my war. Besides, you have quebec to worry about.

That statement above was not doctored except for the bolding. If you do not believe that I was warned by another who spied on Quebec and warned me of the attack:

These are the results:

Quote:
Spend $80 on 2 Tanks in Union. (410)

Spend $180 on 9 Paratroopers. (230)

Spend $40 on an Airbase in Alaska. (190)

Send all 3 Infantry and 2 Tanks in Union to attack Flo.

The 2 Battleships just created in the Northwest Atlantic bombard Flo.

2 Battleships created in the North Pacific bombard Cal.

The last 2 Battleships in North Pacific go to the Northeast Pacific and destroy the Mexican battleships guarding their Sea Lane.

3 Paratroopers in Saskatchewan assault Cal.

3 Paratroopers in Saskatchewan assault Texas.

3 Paratroopers in Saskatchewan assault Monterrey.

3 Infantry in Indian Territory attack Nevada.

3 Infantry in Midwest attack Deep South.
I would suggest restructuring your plans to deal with this threat immediately. This information was never received from me. Good Luck.

There is my reasoning for the war.

Yes, that PM is correct.

However, he is attempting to convince you by theory of association. Ie. Post one PM and say there were more; because this PM is real, the idea is that people will believe there were other real ones too, which is not true. Surely, you would have kept something that would imply I am betraying my allies? Don't make me laugh!

I was afraid that merciary would try to take advantage of weakly defended Chile and become to powerful for D'art to handle. So I accelrated things a bit to stop him from having that chance.

That last one is not from you but from an ally of sorts who I'll leave anonymous unless he wants to come forward. I owe him a great deal for telling me where to place my forces.

You didn't steal their orders? Pfft, if not its only too obvious where it came from...

I meant, you were trying to convince people I sent you more PMs about Quebec. Which is of course untrue. The Pm in your post is the only Pm i sent to you.

This was in reply to the above

(Me) -I thought we already agreed on this, I'm just playing up the South to make D'art less suspicious. I'm not worried very much though he has never taken me serious in any game before.
(Kol.7)- Just checking.

Yep, just checking that you weren't going to interfere in my war, ie. by declaring war on me as per the Treaty of America. I sent something similiar to Quebec.

On what grounds do you reject our trade with Chile? We will trade with all signatories of the Treaty of International Trade. Chile is in fact still able to sign this treaty should they wish. If they will sign it, we will trade. If you leave the Treaty of International Trade because of that, well, that is your loss then.

I don't intend to leave the international trade agreement at all. But a treaty is just a treaty, nothing special and nothing binding, as has been proved countless times by the general ignoring of treaties. I have decided that you people can do as you wish, I will not act to stop you. However, I still urge people to see this from my point of view, the Chileans are unfit to rule themselves, they were planning on invading me - something I do not respond kindly to. I hope people won't trade with them, what you would gain is pitance - hardly worth it. And you can bet I'll remember the people who do.

Yes, Chile will sign any document with anyone that enables us to trade. In fact, I hereby sign any and all trade agreements anyone wishes to proffer. There.

Also, President Kol, I do hope you realize that the Chilean people totally agreed with you- their ruler was unfit to rule. That's why I'm here- I'm his replacement. Tada.

If you say that all South Americans anywhere are unfit for rule, that's an entirely different statement that Mexico may have problems with.

Oh no, not at all. I am willing to discuss peace with Chile if you would so wish, the treaty will be on my terms however.

In answer to questions:

Red dots mean the city has been attacked last turn. New units in those cities receive penalties in battle.

No, Chi shouldn't be Australian (yet). Your attacking force captured the territory, making it neutral. Then, before battles began in the second turn, it became Australian, but was recaptured, becoming neutral once again. Before it was attacked this turn, it became Chilean, but was then re-re-captured, by you, making it neutral. There, that's my reasoning :p

Niklas- you and the SSSR not trading was just mistyped. I had added the extra income. The lack of Russia-Europe trade is because of the lack of a formal peace treaty. Neither side asked to make peace in orders, and neither side wrote/agreed to a public peace treaty, therefore peace and trade don't yet exist.

Whoa, I said in my orders to trade with SSSR. That should imply peace, no? Why would I trade with someone I'm still at war with, especially when they would have gained more than I would through mutual trade?

I guess we'll just have to make a formal peace then.

Treaty of Moscow
1. SSSR and Europe agree to peace at the current borders.
2. SSSR and Europe agree to trade whenever possible.

Signed,
Frozen In Ice, Ruler of SSSR
