East Asia mod?

Perhaps it could unlock a wrestling ring of some sort? There exists a variety of traditional wrestling among various Asian cultures. Now that I think about it, I perhaps could have a use for it in the "Annals of Seven Kingdoms" mod. :)

But it's a toad!

Teenage Mutant Sumo Toads!

It's not a bad idea actually, but I don't want anymore civs on the map for two reasons.

1) Speed, more civs will slow the game down, 21 civs still give a pretty fast game, compared to a 31 civ game.

2) Space, Borneo needs to be unsettled in the map version, since Sri Vijaya and Majapahits have little room on their native islands, so they need a place to expand into.

I might however add them to the final version with 31 civs, but that is a future project at this point. ;)

I understand :goodjob: that the Majapahit and Srivijaya Civ's need room to expand.
However, I would still like to make a of point in favor of adding Brunei to the Mod.

The Historical core of the Brunei Kingdom was the NorthWest Coast of Borneo, and the Island of Palawan in the Philippines.
This is rather far from were the two other states would started.
If Brunei gets Settlers a bit later then the two other Civ's they should be able to expand and it would be historicaly accurate, Brunei as a Islamic Civ started to expand at much later period.
At the same time, I would also like to say that Kingdoms in SW Asia and Indonesia were numerous and cramped togather.

And also, Brunei managed to survive to the :crazyeye: presentday, which distinction most of the other Civ in the Mod do :p not share.

Sorry, but I'm simply not going to change the civs at this point in the process.

I think it's better just to keep the current list of civs and get the basics of the mod down before expanding to include more civs.

Also, if Brunei gets setters later (and thus is delayed in expansion), an AI-controlled Brunei simply gets overrun early on. The AI isn't capable of controlling civs with peculiar attributes.

What are you supposed to do when you are sick and staying home on a friday evening? Adding units obviously!

I'm not completly done yet. I can't locate the nomad swordsman by R8XFT/Rob for example, but this is a fair share of the units in the mod.

Then there's also the units not made yet, but I started a request thread, so hopefully they can soon be added.

I honestly can't remember that, but I bet it's in the Anno Domini mod, which I know you've downloaded. Have you found the nomad swordsman yet?

Well it's quite old. But I'm sure it exists. Maybe you didn't make it, since I can't find it in the mod. I'll have to dig more.

I know the swordsman you are referring to, I think, and I'm pretty sure it is done by Rob- the Hun swordsman, with the ponytail?

I definitely have that unit, if no-one else does.

I've had another setback, this time of the medical kind.

Last thuesday I got a bad stomach, and when I started to dehidrate and loose blood on thursday/friday they rushed me to the hospital. I got into an isolation room, but after I started getting better they just released me today. I don't know how long untill I'm fresh again, but in the meantime I'm not sure how much I will be able to work on the mod.

I also moved to a new apartment this week, just to complicate things a little.

Please take all the time you need to become well again.

There is plenty else going on here that will move the mod forward without you right now. For example, I have downloaded & printed out Utahjazz7's tutorial & will be putting it to use to begin the Bugis.

hopefully you will be well enough to read about our exploits & make a comment or 2; if not, know that you will in our thoughts & prayers.

Well I should be able to stick around on a regular basis, so it's not that bad. I'm just not sure how fast I will become well.

Time for an update

I got well again, and even though I'm working my butt off I still find time to mod a little.

The test release is not far away! I only got this left now:
Fix some minor graphic stuff.
Add pedia text entries for units.
And a few pedia entries for some random stuff.

I should be able to do this fairly soon. So you can actually expect this mod to hold it's deadline! (Beta release this spring) I'm sure this must be a first time in C&C that a mod actually does that. :p ;)

Here is a brief overview of what the mod will include:

A whole remake of the game, but only with 21 civs.
Lots of unique improvements/wonders/goverments/techs to ensure that each civ is different.
Three biq files: A standard game. A map of East Asia, that uses LM terrain. And finally a bonus Oasis map, for a different kind of gameplay. I uploaded a picture for your enjoyment, though I won't be posting more screenshots untill the release is ready.

Check the screenshot here: http://www.civfanatics.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=1547&original=1&c=7

This is all.
