Night of the Werewolves XXII: The Road to Ruin (Game Thread)

First of all, who the hell drugged me? Honestly. It pisses me off that some person got to me last night.

Secondly, I would like to accuse IceKommander of treason for directly supporting the killing of Niklas. This now doubles my suspicions against him. Explain yourself!!

Lastly, I will vote for a squad leader when one volunteers who I believe to be loyal.

Oh, god, this isn't good. Big Tom, our first line of defense, blew up right in front of our eyes, and then Nico is found dead in the morning! They are tightening the noose around us, and it is starting to get harder to breath! As such I would like M16 for a bit of extra protection. I am a good shot as well, that's why I was choosen for this mission even though I was new. Lastly, I also suspect Icekommander; he was Nico's most vocal critic.

People, the killer of Renata was Frozen in Ice. He is not a loyalist. Niklas knew that and was killed for it. Niklas was also told by Frozen yesterday that something spectacular was about to happen that would get someone killed and after the death of Renata, Frozen claimed it was him that killed her.

Well, I vote for myself as platoon leader. I like a chat with Ekolite.

Would you indeed, J-man? Well, if you really do have something to say and are not just casting a very, very poorly thought out and unsupported vote against an active player like myself, then my PM-box is always open. Feel free to fill it with your fascinating arguements.

I can not understand why Frozen would tell someone (Niklas in this case) that he was going to do something and then claim responsibility for a death. It would be suicide. I do not believe that he did it. But in the case that many of you do believe that he did, I believe that we should give him a chance to explain himself. Did he have a personal grudge against Renata? Or something else?

My vote for now goes to IceKommander as I feel he is more likely to be the culprit and I would like to keep the votes within reason with regards to Frozen.

OMFG!!! This sucks big time !
No seriously, it sucks like the worst sucking thing that ever sucked multiplied by a hundred.

Now, I hope you guys will pardon the swearing but hey, the only things I want to say right now are @#"=!è and ^#&@ and Rest In Peace boss.
First Renata and then Nico, and we have lost one more day because LF is injured, this is bad, bad, bad.

Fishing out another cigarillo from his pocket, Izipo stares at it for a minute before lighting it.

This one's for you my friend, it was meant to be anyway...

Now let's get our wits together. As you can see, I only carry close quarters weapons, so I wouldn't mind this fine rifle here. Moreover, as some of you know, these knifes are useful for something else and they are itching to be used. But first I need to talk to some of my team-mates. Sadly, my time is limited now and besides I'm still in shock... So right after midday would me more convenient, kay ?

{OOC : I'm back from the week-end and going to bed because it's late, but will be on messenger as soon as I get back from work tomorrow.}

EDIT : IC : Also, yeah, I'm wary of Frozen in Ice too, but would like to suggest to keep it close between the two Ices (the other one being IceKommander of course).

Frozen In Ice, the evidence points to you. Squad, he must be killed, not merely bound like me. I ask those who have voted for Icekommander to change their votes in the face of the new evidence.

Niklas' death is indeed a great loss. He was an excellent leader, and our prayers go with him.

However, we must look ahead. We need a new leader, and I believe I am the one to lead. I hope my three, soon to be four days on this rock has proven my innocence. I am loyal member of the squad.

Bastards. *The recruiter sighs* Price of command I guess. *Gets up looks around* I must say J-Man for leader, like it should have been last time. All right let's look at the evidence here people. It looks like Niklas managed to pin Frozen-in-Ice, and Methos is advocating that. He has true real proof of what happened. Unfortunant that Niklas died, but such is what he gets for the unsurpation of the squad. *pauses* So what have you against this veteran? That I belived Niklas should explain himself? That he acted, in my opinion suspiciously? If I wanted him dead I would have killed him a long time ago. Now, He has died for two reasons. First, because he went stumbling on evidence, and second it makes nice handy suspicion diverter in the format of me. So think people, you have got grey matter. Lord knows you should be able to put two and two together when spelled out on a board in front of you.

I vote for J-Man as squad leader.

We certainly need to actually kill someone this evening, and, while I am somewhat out of the loop regarding the whole PM bombing prediction fiasco, I shall cast my vote for Frozen-in-Ice

What exactly would make J-Man such a good leader? None of you have actually specified. I vote for Tasslehoff, he is a potitican and knows how play leader.

Why would we vote for a leader who just yesterday we decided was too untrustworthy to move freely?

I don't know why Niklas told everyone that I claimed to have killed Renata. I never told Niklas "something spectacular was about to happen" and I sure as hell wasn't the one that set a bomb on Renata. Also I didn't and still don't have any reason to kill Niklas or to even to wish him harm. Does it even make any sense for me to tell Niklas that I was going to blew someone up? It makes even less sense for me to then kill Niklas, right afterwards, because that would bring up the question of why I even told him in the first place. Niklas's allies are just going on his word, and to me it seems like he wasn't the most honest soldier this squad has known to say the least.

If I have to die for your suspicions to be satiated then fine, but I will tell you all now that you are just wasting yet another day and making the squads defense's yet another person shorter. If that is what you all wish for then so be it, but you all are only digging your own grave.

Midday, Day 6

With the sun directly overhead, the squad was certainly feeling the heat. This was especially true for Frozen in Ice, the number of accusations piling up against him. With most of the squad accusing someone at this point, Icekommander also had managed to receive a handful of votes as well. While the debate raged on about who did what or didn’t do what, something emerged to shake everybody’s minds off the subject for just a moment.

Machine gun fire erupted from the squad’s flanks, pinning the men in their place until an effective counter-attack could be made. With the recent demise of their most recent Platoon Leader Niklas, it was chaotic at best as the men mounted a counter-attack. Grenades sailed into the squad’s ranks and exploded, knocking a handful off their feet as the shrapnel wiped them out. After ten minutes of fighting that seemed to last for a week, the insurgents backed down and retreated as the squad managed to hold them off. When the smoke cleared and thoughts began to prevail over adrenaline, it was not a pretty sight.

One grenade had sailed right next to a handful of soldiers and before it could explode, Stuck in Pi had managed to pick it up and lob it away. Unfortunately for him, he had no sooner ducked after throwing it the grenade exploded and he was showered with shrapnel. His saving grace had been his flak jacket, absorbing the fragments and only knocking him out for the time being.

Thomas.berubeg had not been so lucky. The same shrapnel that got Stuck in Pi also hit the cook, and for the second time in a twenty-four hour period lay wounded on the ground. Chandrasekhar had come over to check on his fallen comrade and got hit in the shoulder with a round from an insurgent’s rifle. Grasping the wound with his now bloody left hand, he quickly retreated out of the line of fire, which was now kicking up dirt all around thomas.berubeg. Miraculously, the stricken cook did not get hit with any of the extraneous bullets falling all around him.

The carnage went on. Nahkarma had been hit in the left arm twice by two bullets from yet another insurgent. J-man almost lost his legs when a grenade exploded precariously close and lucked out by only having shrapnel pierce his legs. When all was said and done, four of the squad lay injured on the ground after this ambush.

Grabbing the stretchers made after the first ambush, J-man and thomas.berubeg got a lift while the other two could walk away with only wounds to their upper extremities. As the squad regrouped, this ambush only stressed the need for a Platoon Leader. While it is hard to say whether casualties would have been lower or not, the squad realized they needed someone to look to when the situation became dire. Hopefully by the end of today they would have selected that man to lead the squad onward.

Wounded to me! I told you this short route was a foolhardy venture, and now look where it's gotten us. Four, nearly five men down. Wounded, sit in those tents over there, I'll get a morphine drip set up. Merciary! Where are you? Grab some bandages and start helping. You, Tasslehoff, get me some boiled rags. They're all going to make it through this alive if I have anything to do with it.
