Hello to everybody!
Been playing Civ games since Civ2 first came out. Been lurking on this board for quite a few years before finally registering a few months back when I first decided to give FfH2 a whirl.

Hello all! I just got into Civ a few months ago with Civ IV (my boyfriend got me hooked!) and I'm still not so good at it, but I've been reading the forums to pick up strategies for a while, and it seemed like a good time to join!

I play a lot games like CIV, in all variations and colors. But after getting to know the game, I like modify the basic rules to make it more varied. No fiddling with code or cheats.
I'm pretty good at graphics and history of Europe.
And I would loooooooooooove to get answers, comments and feed backs.
Fer Instanz : Where can I get Civilization II? I have ver IV. Any offers ?

I'm graduated student from Thailand, play Civ since Civ I in 80286 and now addicted to Civ4 BTS.
I love playing peacemonger, but get higher score when decide making war.
How fool the game developer calculate scores from territories?
I'm always curious that why they don't design Civ easier for peacecraft.
,and in Civ4, Global warming issue is just ridiculous stuff.
However, I love Civ series the most!!

Hi everybody! I'm a Total War/Age of Empires modder who has never really played a Civilization game before. However, I have just gotten Civ IV and I am very impressed by the depth of the game and possibilities for modding.

Hi,
I am COMPLETELY pleased w CIV 4.
I've been playing some variety of CIV on a nearly daily basis since about '96.
I have been trying to figure out how to mod up a variant of the GREAT LEADER / GENERAL for use in naval engagements.
Think of a sort of "Great Leader / ADMIRAL. He would emerge after a successful battle (Just like a Great Leader / General.), only it would be a sea battle, instead of a land battle.
I realize that it would be easier to do this w. WARLORDS or BTS, but I would RATHER do it as a mod to Vanilla.
Any help or suggestions, etc...

For the normal game (Civ4 by itself): 1.74
For Warlords: 2.13
For Beyond the Sword: 3.17
If you have Beyond the Sword, then installing just the 3.17 patch (and none of the others) should be fine. If you're installing more than one patch though, make sure to do them in order (i.e. normal Civ4 patch -> Warlords patch -> BTS patch).

One good thing for me is that Civilization is something like "operating-system-independent" because I had played Civ-IV three years ago when I had Windows, then two years with Linux, and now I have had Mac for one year and I found even a version of Civilization IV to this from Amazon.
I have no other computer games, Civilization is the only I play
I have surfed in this site in order to find more mods and scenarios for my Civ, and I am thankful you have here a great variety of them!
Although I have had some problems in searching because there is no system to tell which mod is for which expansion pack and some times they only work with older version of my expansion. Sometimes it is also hard to find scenarios that don't require or are itself a mod. I mean, only "clear" scenario.
How do you get along with these?
I excuse my english, is there any sub-forum or topics that members can use other lanquages?

Sorry, CFC is English only, but don't let that bother you. Your English is fantastic! If you have a mod related question. Try asking in the Civ IV mod section. People there are much more likely to give you a good answer than they are here.

Past civ I like underground hiphop, make beats, enjoy basketball and am 15.
Now i have to go look through the rest of this site lol
