Broadway for the GE... well, I'm not sure... what about the 3GD, as GB suggested? In any case, not an issue this TS, I'll burn 1 on SoL. Otherwise, it's straight forward, and I'll play later today.

Yes, we can wait.
But a GE on the 3GD can be a waste, unless we pop another one: we can complete them in some 7 turns in Nippur with levee, IW and factory.
I played until turn 160. There's not all that much to tell, but a few interesting things happened. We finished electricity, steam, and are 1 turn from AL. I wasn't actually sure whether we were going for Industrialism or grabbing rail first, and we haven't discussed a timetable for Mining Inc or Sushi, but considering we'll be in a GA in 2 turns, it's probably 4 turns one way or the other.
A GE was burned on SoL, Rock'n'Roll, NE, and Wall St are all due soon. I forgot for the hundredth time to build Moai. Can someone build it somewhere... anywhere... please. We have a GMan due from LP next turn, with another very small chance of a GSpy.. surely it can't happen again. Pindus is about 6 turns away, and even quicker with the NE. Fingers crossed for a merchant.
Buildings and what not went ok, I feel, and there's too much to list. I await the collective judgement. Be careful of the AI allocating spies, and the City Details tab on the advanced domestic advisor F1, or whatever it's called is invaluable, for those not in the know. I built 2 extra frigates, just in case, and distributed the paras, mostly. We could consider deleting all of the old defenders... if we do get attacked it would be easy enough to build a defender in each city and recollect the paras. It might save some cash.
Stalin has capitulated to Wangers, so i wonder if he'll (Wang) be a threat, with 2 vassals and a land area supposedly as big as ours? Probably not with our GAs due and huge tech lead, but a war would be disasterous for our finish date. Diplo is still looking good, tho. No tech trades available, but I did manage to get spice from Shaka, and did a few old techs like music for cash.
So, it should be AL > Ind > steam > rail then rocketry, I guess. Keep building the econ up, and pop that GA on turn 2 when all cities are out of revolt.

I do not like the way things are shaping up in EurAsia. WK + HC + Stalin! My guess is they'll either DOW Shaka or ally with Shaka against us. HC and WK together are going to tech like crazy and may catch up. If they do go to war with Shaka we may want to consider helping him
Let's get our "Enterprise" built and take off to the stars!
WK is currently researching Astronomy and he is ahead of both of his Vassals in tech, so they won't speed him up much (since they have no techs to trade to him). We should have no problem staying ahead of them.
The question is whether or not we want to make a preemptive strike on Shaka before he can DOW us. My intelligence experst tell me that he has WMD (picture Colan Powell with a presentation to the UN here). A colony/vassal in Africa can work just as well as one in Europe. It is also much better to be taking cities and getting cash instead of fighting a definsive war against troops unloaded on our shores.
My question "when are we gonna find time to build the spaceship?". I like to war as much as the next guy but if continued warring distracts us from the real goal then we need to reconsider. With that said, why don't we let Mesix develop some war plans and some test games to decide if the war plan speeds things up or slows things done. Anyone else agree?
Did something happen to BLubz?? Is he okay? It's been 28 hours since Sweet finished and we still haven't found out how his turnset ruined the game! LOL
Mesix, are you planning your PPP for your TS or still watching cheesy movies at work??

Probably Sweeta MM well, and was my fault to not remember we're goin' for Rails before factories (AL).
I doubt Wang will never be a problem: he's pleased/friendly with us and probably he won't need to be briben against Shaka. Just let him take a breath, then he will declare on him.
My opinion is that a war not only distratct us, but that can be a disaster with Shaka so near to rifling.
Last thing: vassal are not like PAs, you can't drive their research nor you can't be sure they will give you the techs they research. No one will catch us, game won.
We have to worry only for the other teams, not for in-game problems, unless we made huge mistakes. As we already did. If we don't pop a GM, goodbye Sushi, too late it's only a cost.
Mesix, only two things for your TS:
1) burn a damn GE on Broadway and renegotiate all deals involving furs after it.
2) probably during you TS all the former Portuguese cities will go out of revolt, start a GAge right after the last one will pop his full BFC.
Last thing, i'm really tired to repeat: Rocketry will arrive after Industrialism.
Since we have GE to burn...can we switch the engineer in LP to a scientist? We don't really need to have the chance at another GE...do we? The extra would be useful at this point.

I think so. Use engs in LP only to boost production of important buildings. After we pop a couple more GS, hopefully. After the GM in Pindus what the hell i has that thought to settle the GM? And you to accept it gladly? back to setler, all.
I didn't think it was worth arguing the point. It was a wash under the right conditions. The math on the Pindus output with scientists vs merchants was based on having all the necessary buildings. You may notice that we currently have buildings to give us +75% but no buildings to boost .
A GM in the hand is worth 2 in the bush?? Well, we'll see what happens. Are we going to found Min Inc this set? If so, keep an eye out for spare resources to trade from the AI... even for gpt if it's fair.
Yeah, I think I said rocknroll, and meant broadway, back there somewhere. Anyway, surely with 30 turns to go, we shouldn't be planning a war. Perhaps a AI bribe is in order, tho. Otherwise, just keep an eye on the specialist allocations on F1, as the governor is a fool.

Man, what wouldn't I do to have your job And here I am writing schedulers, voting apps for "Deal or no Deal" among a host of other things and I'm only a BA ... what am I doing wrong
