NIGHT FOUR
It was mostly a quiet night to follow a quiet day. Well, except for the one incident that the town was able to piece together in the early morning, from accounts of the night before.
The German camp had spent the late evening carefully planning their attack, and decided the target would be
Diana Abnoba. So they sent out a man to carry the deed, who eventually gathered that Diana Abnoba had found a nice resting spot in the upstairs of a headquarters building.
Crashing his way through locks and doors gave a bit of warning about his presence, so Diana was not prepared to go down without a fight. But the struggle was still outmatched in favor of the attacker, who was preparing to deliver a finishing blow when an altogether more surprising interruption occurred. From outside, scaling the walls of the building itself, another assailant smashed right through the window, frame and all. The German was knocked aside and quickly decided to get out of there, but it turns out he was not the target – the smell of fresh blood already more than enough cause for Diana to be crushed and carried away by this other attacker, out the side of the building as quickly as he had come.
The German, staggering to his feet, watched in horror as the body was dragged off into the night with terrible accompanying noises, nothing more than shadow under a cloudy sky.
Diana Abnoba was dead
There apparently might have been some other conflicts during the night, many witnesses thought they saw or heard fleeting glimpses of something, but there was no concrete news.

MORNING FIVE
The people finally found themselves standing a place they recognized, even it didn’t really bring out feelings of nostalgia. They were back in the
Abandoned Midwestern Town. To commemorate this someone had even written up another bit of verse
Washington Irving writes: "The rest of the world is sweeping past us. The oil and gas of the Texas future is the well-educated mind. But we are still worried about whether Midland can beat Odessa at football.”
