- from the Caledonian point of view everything south of the border qualifies as 'Inferior' so that when invading the south I might just not notice the difference between yours and his?

Actually, no. It's kind of like an NES, but not really.
It is an empire-building game that spawned off of the Altered Maps threads in the Off Topic forums. Then Lil' Post Count (another user) started a thread where you could play as an empire and claim places in the world (it was called OT Poster Empires). And the rules were developed, and Imperium Offtopicum was born.
There's, like, a whole detailed, in-depth, really well-explained ruleset right on the front page...

While I think it would be more likely to happen in Britain (The Anglo-Saxon-Jutes invasion force was the only one of its kind toward Britain), I think it would be extremely original and interesting.

I am still Middle Egypt.
Kingdom official name: The United States of Egypt (I am picking this name to be interesting.)
Type of government: Caste System. Technically speaking, unlike former systems, the Pharoah is the puppet of the aristocracy, run by the priests. The royal family lives more wealthy than any other kingdom but has no political power at all, and he can conduct diplomacy only as the priests tell him too. In the second caste are the merchants and such who control the money. The third caste is the soldier caste, who fight the wars. Fourth are the farmers. Fifth are the Outcasts (Ex Criminals and those who refuse to follow the faith.) Last are the slaves (Freed slaves become outcasts.)
The priests vote via direct democracy on all politico-religious matters. There are 100 priests.
