Here's the last pack of buildings converted from Kohan II. It covers the Drauga faction. This time I consciously avoid any classical fantasy archetype, because these buildings are potentially very versatile both in fantasy and some even in historical settings. The pack's structure is the same to other faction pack, which, by now, you should have gotten used to.

In general, these buildings have few effects and animations (although some animations that are present are quite nice). Most buildings are made of hide, wood, bone and rough masonry.

1) Barracks. No effects, no animations.

2) Market, Bazaar and Workshop. Workshop has smoke effect; other than that, no effects or animations.

3) Blacksmith and Forge. Fire and smoke, as one would expect. Nice animated bellows for the forge. Very pronounced red glow.

4) City centers. No animations, no effects.

5) Library and Mage College. Both are little more than a dirt mound with a fence and a totem pole; "Mage college" has fire effects of color surprisingly similar to "missing texture" pink (fire not shown). :)

6) Shrine and Temple. Nothing makes these structures particulary temple-like to me. Hides around both structures are a separate mesh, and thus easily removable. The roof is also a separate mesh, and although removing it produces a stupid look, it can be separately reshaped - and if made flatter, the building gets a more human look to it.

7) Stone Resource. Being the fun folks they are, Drauga prefer their stones ground to dust. All three structures are obviously grinding mills, nicely animated and producing some amount of the afforementioned dust effect.

8) Wood Resource. Only sawmill animated, showing possible connection of the Drauga to the French - they like their wood guillotined. :D

Thanks a lot, I have been recently checking Graphics Modpacks subforum only to get these as soon as you post them :D

As you have said, lots of potential!

Looks nice.
Slightly off topic, but how do you go about seeing if a mesh from one game can be used in Civ?

Most likely not. Units are FAR trickier to import than buildings, because of animation. And a mech, unlike an aircraft carrier, is, unfortunately, a very animated thing.

i think he meant mesh (as in modle) not a mech (as in giant robot of doom) ;)

OMG, yes, sorry, I have misread. Well, then it certainly depends on what the mesh in question is. Lately, I've successfully converted stuff from many games to Civ 4 (not released on CFC) - so I'd give it a 50/50 chance.

Shoot it, Ajidica, here or via PM.
